Great video. Original was better. As a Kiwi myself its more special. As they can't fly but his dream was to fly, he knew this and made his dream come true even though he knew the consequences. It's truely special.

tbh i just thought that he stuck a load of trees to the side of a cliff in order to make himself believe he could fly, even if it was just for a few moments and it did lead to his possible death

The fact is... we don't know for sure whether the kiwi lived or died. No one saw rocks or water at the bottom. It is possible that the creator could have finished it either way. Besides, even if the creator had finished it with water at the bottom of the cliff...what if the kiwi didn't know there was water and therefore the kiwi may have still been leaping to his death but he was saved by the grace of God (or luck, whatever you believe in) does that prevent people expressing that opinion...
