Yeah. Eggs are healthy. Veggies are healthy. You can always get SmartChoice or I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Only thing is the sausage. You can just substitute that with a lean turkey variation. Tastes just as good. You could also make you're own sausage so that you know exactly what's in it.

Half and Half é aquele creme bem leve, com baixíssimo teor de gordura, que os americanos usam no café, que podem vir em embalagens individuais (que parece um potinho minúsculo de iogurte) ou numa garrafinha. Dogapsa, huskvnj did sound a bit threatening. I don't personally use a microwave that much because the wonderful aromas of whatever I'm cooking permeate the kitchen more intensly and you get better flavor profiles with conventional methods. But I find thawing frozen veggies in the micro is better because it preserves tha "just harvested" taste of things like peas and corn. Whatever floats your boat!

You can also use heavy cream and butter to make your soup. I prefer to roast my squash on a sheetpan in the oven with fresh garlic and thyme. then I put it all into the blender with cinnamon and cloves and s&p to taste. This is a good simple recipe though.

i think the maple syrup would make it lovely. as long as you use the real thing, and not that high fructose pancake syrup (it's a LOT different). but if you decide to try brown sugar, consider the difference in texture. you'd have to apply more liquid since brown sugar attracts moisture, and it is likely to congeal quicker than if you used the maple syrup.

Instead of using butter, has anyone tried making bacon, using the bacon drippings to cook the onion and garlic, and then topping the soup with the crispy bacon bits? great soup!... so easy. I made a few revisions: the maple syrup would have made it way too sweet, so I didn't add any. I did add half a cup of half and half and a little extra cinnamon. And the squash only needed to boil for 10 minutes until completely soft. I began to make the soup and was sitting down to eat a bowl of it within 20 minutes!

That looks so easy and delicious. Right now I'm eating a bowl of mashed. All I did was cut it up into 2 large pieces, boiled for at least 20-30 mins until it was very soft. It peeled so easily and I was able to remove the seeds and stringy sutff easily too. The squash was already like puree so I put it in a bowl, added a teaspoon of brown sugar and two pats of butter, mixed it and ate it just like that. Yum!! I can't wait to try this recipe...I know I will love it and so will my kids! :)

it looks delicious but it's usually best you don't run mushrooms under tap water, they make the mushrooms rubbery in texture, instead, just brush them with a damp cloth (not papertowel!) to clean them, most mushroom packing companies usually sell their bags already washes so I usually buy those, it's faster and sometimes cheaper

I think there are only 2 things to change is this recipe. 1. Use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar. 2. I think there should have been more crumble topping.
