there are thousands of jamaicans with jewish ancestry. Why do you think that Reggae singers sing about zion,babylon and some groups even call themselves israel vibrations!!! Jamaica is a fascinating island full of different ethinic groups but all united under one flag. It amazes me just how small the island is yet has influenced the world in so many different ways. I was even shocked to find out that the Prime Minister has a jewish name--Golding.

That's BLACK Jamaicans that are claiming that they are Jewish descendants. Real Jews are abundant in the Island, just go to Shabbat services love Friday night okay and you will see how FULL the temple is. Also, that is not the only temple in the island dear.

wow...200 Jews...No matter how far out of my parish I went what is the probability that I'm gonna meet 1 Jew? The odds are 200:3000,000... U still have no point....U sound like U take offense still so drop it...We all are Jews ok? If U could read, U would have noticed I previously stated that there are Jews here, I just don't think its that much that we all got some Jew in us!! I also said I have never met any...that is MY experience! not that they aren't any here!!

This is the gleaner and I quote: "As 2005 approaches the Jewish community is preparing to celebrate 350 years of free religious practice in Jamaica. Today the numbers have dwindled to close to 200 practising Jews. However, that number would be much larger if it were a measure simply of religious bloodlines, as many Jamaicans are descendants of Jews although they do not officially practice Judaism." So sad that many natives such as yourself don't even get within 1 mile outside of your Parish.

listen I live in Jamaica and Ive never heard of or seen any one claiming to be Jew, black or white and Ive never heard of any Jews being so popular in Jamaica that we all got some...I am mixed and I know I aint Jewish and I know Sean Paul aint Jewish either!!!! I'm doing some reseach on my family background. My grand aunt who was named Clara Henriques looked like any normal Jewish woman that you would see on the street. Her father was the owner of a bus company in the 1930's, before he left for England. My family is very mixed from the darkest of dark, to the lightest of light. As a Jamaican I'm convinced that every Jamaican is mixed with African, Jewish, English-European, Indian, and Chinese blood. We are Truly Out of Many One People. Respect!

thats not true everyone knows sean paul is mix like many jamaicans and has jewish blood in him,, I know a lot of jamaicans who are white, mix race and black with jewish sounding names.. Jamaicans are from anti semitic and the reason being is because they are semitic themselves.....onelove Rastafari
