I never cared much for Jefferson Airplane as a band, but they sure did have a handful of great songs. Especially these two hits, plus Triad and Volunteers. What caught my notice, watching this vid, was Jorma Kaukonen's great work on that Gibson semi-hollow. He gets a bluesy, almost trumpet-like, Clapton/BB King kind of sound. The results almost make me wonder why Fenders & Gretches have been so much more popular than Gibsons among rock guitarists.
