By: SerseriKursun. on 07 Nov 08, 16:19:04
who does not cry at this scene, don't exist a hearth
By: thechitty. on 01 Nov 08, 20:34:29
the reason it didn't take all of the oscars in 1994 was that it wasn't really a big hit until a few years later when it got better publicised. it's the best film iv'e seen in my life so far and this is probably one of the best scenes.

this seen really tears your soul out. truly heartbreaking. ..it just gives you the feeling of absolute loneliness...

Im the type of person who watches movies on my spare time because thats what i love doing, i love the art of cinema and i have seen plenty of powerful movies, but this one scene seems to be the one to get me all choked up, great movie

Ugh, this is so painful to watch. When that chair fell from under him, I gasped out so loud. This scene is so heartbreaking. I love how he mentions the fact that he's rarely seen cars, it makes it all the more depressing.
By: RainWizard1. on 14 Oct 08, 23:56:19
breaks my heart this scene
By: soocool78. on 06 Oct 08, 22:15:28
i love how stephen king incoperates everything interlaced from his stories....such as the jake reference...very subtle, but it relates to jake from the dark tower (or at least i think), espcially with his quote "i hope wherever he is, he is doing well"
By: Erfa90. on 06 Oct 08, 18:51:21
This scene is good, but what makes it a masterpiece is that you don't realize until the end that the entire monologue is a suicide letter. Awesome.
By: tiagusanteiro. on 06 Oct 08, 15:52:57
First i like to say that this is the movie of my life. Itīs the most beautiful thing ever made. I simply love this movie.. And this scene, well this scene makes me cry all the time. When Brooks writes "Brooks was here" its the most emotional of the all movie.
By: glennohagan. on 03 Oct 08, 16:01:01
This is the best piece of acting by anyone in any movie and makes me weep every time i see it
By: iodboi. on 02 Oct 08, 20:42:10
I only wish it had run for some more time during 94 and people had seen more of it. It would have dumped Gump in the Forrest and beat fiction to Pulp :-) The best movie to have not won an Oscar. This scene reminds me to look at senior citizens in a more accommodating way. Brooks reminds me of my granny with her kind wrinkled face whom I could not meet before she left this world...Love you granny..Sorry I couldn't make it to your funeral either.
By: iodboi. on 02 Oct 08, 20:34:52
This is the best movie, ever! Great scene, great acting, great direction. This scene wasnt even half as dramatic in the novel as it is in here. "Brooks was here" just seals it. Whitmore is amazing with the look in his eyes as he clutches the railing in the bus. Darabont, Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, James Whitmore will be remembered for this movie. It has the theme of hope. It has the theme of guy friendship (guy friendship minus the guns, booze and babe-chasing which is very rare in movies).

By: ONEamWALKAH. on 13 Sep 08, 21:02:47
RIP brooks. This is such a great scene, and makes me want to cry out of sorrow for the poor old man. Masterpiece of a movie this was.
