I remember watching Victoria perfom this song on TV for the very first time with my mum (sadly now departed) and I can recall as if it were yesterday the tears of laughter that rolled down our faces. I would only have been in my early teens. For years afterwards it remained one of our all time favourite songs to sing in the car, loudly and out of tune, on long drives. Thank you so much for posting this. The memories are bitter sweet but the laughter is still genuine every time I watch it.

I tend to agree with you. It was well known that Natalie had a tremendous fear of water (that fear was well documented in interviews given by her), and something very traumatic and upsetting would have to have made her go out on the deck of a boat that was in the middle of a large body of water away from the short in the pitch dark of night. The whole scenario around her death never made any sense to me either.
