Stevie had many great songs, originals! Many great tunes and classics! Obviously amazing, and Hendrix maybe better in songwritting, cause Hendrix was Hendrix, and nobody beats Hendrix, but SRV was pretty much creative and he wrote many great songs, so to say that he couldn't write an original even if his life would depend on it is fake and crap! He had an amazing tehnique tone, sound as voice too! He never played a song same way twice, and he is definetely the best guitarist after Hendrix!

yeah hendrix had his influences. like little richards voice and howlin wolf. but the creativity side kicks in when you dont just use your influences but you form opinions on different sounds you make yourself and put them into songs. thats why hendrix was so great cos if he liked something he came around by jamming he'd put it into something. same as if he would hear someone play it.

I think that the sheer vastness and variety of instruments that are included in each of their tracks puts them a step above anyone. I mean Stevie Wonder played most if not all the instruments on his first album, then in later years wrote the parts to all his songs as did Ray. That takes some musical genius. People out today are damn good but I dont think people can step up to this

It...is...repetitive. It's an awesome song, and Stevie Wonder's a legend. But this song doesn't exactly take any dramatic turns. It has one bass line repeated throughout the entire tune with the exception of the bridge... That one melodic phrase is essentially put on loop through 75% of it... I mean... Honestly, like, who is "msopher" to be critiquing Stevie so readily I guess?, but... what they said isn't exactly insulting or untrue...

By way of review.... I shared this video because for those only familiar with the post-heart surgery Dave, this is a great glimpse of him when he was not too far away from Weather-Man Dave. The show was much more raw. Paul had more of a pick-up band, the studio was small, etc. Plus with the AIDS epidemic in full swing, Dave wasn't trying to be funny with the rubber gloves. And of course, Stevie's act was totally worth sharing. Love all the comments - makes me laugh. The lightbulb is classic!
