It's terrible to see KenShiro get defeated like that. Even when it appears that Ken avoided Southers Kyokusei J?ji Ken, in reality, Souther caught him right before he got the chance to even use his speed. Without knowing the secret to Souther body, it's almost a complete useless fight for Ken to begin with.

Hey Regarding the Thouther video which you made comparision to the game there are two moves which are missing that are in the game that you did not put in the anime... 1. Foward C the grab move you didnt put it in the anime and its found, when Kenshiro holds Thouthers Chest and shoves in both of his hands in his body and holds him up, and then seeing that there was no affect on Thouther, Thouther immediatly gives him a Slash up in the air, and that would be Forward C.

Gotta love the sheer amount of fear that Souther manages to install into Kenshiro in this fight. Kenshiro has been razed and taught that Hokuto Shinken is invincible, and now he finds an opponent who laughs him in the face as he pummels him! Sure, he understood afterward that it had to be a trick, but still, during this fight he showed a small trace of fear. And any person that makes Kenshiro feel fear got balls of steel. Let's just hope he never fears a woman though.

So you'r saying that Souther shouden't have been killed? First of, Souther knew damm well what he was doing even though he was psycotic. Souther could have surrendered, but choose not to, forcing Kenshiro to kill him. Considering that kenshiro was forced to fight souther by fate, i'd say that souther atleast was spared of his suffering.

Yes, some sympathy would be ok. But not to the point where people are saying: Oh what a sad guy that is, he suffered through a bad childhood and he should be forgiven for whatever he's done. I read through Souther's death in Hnk. That seems to be what the author is portraying. That's like saying: Hey that child murderer had a bad childhood, we should make him a tragic figure after executing him. We don't do that in real life, by the way. Ted Brundy and the Killer Clown are still reviled.

Juuza was almost suicidal ,fighting ken'oh at this time of the story was pure suicide, he was prepared to die,he chosed his death. Souther is the opposite of a suicidal man, remenber the scene when toki and raoh arrived at the pyramid, Souther knew that even if he kills kenshiro he 'd have to fight against TOki (OMG)and Raoh (omg) and what did he say? "I'm lucky, hokuto shin ken will completly dissapear today" ! he wanted to kill kenshiro toki and raoh the same day! What a crazy badass hero!

Let's not forget about Juuza of the clouds either. He was the other one that never showed fear, even when he knew he was going to die. But yeah, I have to give Souther props for being a major Badass and sticking to his guns even when defeat was looming over him. Phoenixes don't need feet to fly.

A lot of respect, that is the truth. I have every single episode of HNK and this is truly the first time Ken underestimated his opponent, which ultimately lead to his worst defeat in the series. Souther being the "Star of Leadership" is the true fist of the South Star, so I wasn't surprised that he was the only character in the series to strike fear into Raoh. The most I enjoyed about the HNK characters unlike DBZ is the fact that even the best and most skilled character can lose in a fight.

An explanation to that could be that: Hokuto Shinken dosen't work by only pressing certain pressure points. Whenever a Hokuto user punches someone, regardless if it's on a pressure point or not, some damage is transfered to the inside, to damage the body internaly. This is simply becuse all greater fighters have a high endurence thanks to their muscles. Therefor, if Raoh tried to fight Souther, his punches woulden't have done more damage then a random huge-ass villan, and that would be suicide.

Wow. There's so much wrong with that statement. Dragon Balls Z is just a typical action anime with rediculus explosions and powerups at the right moment. Everything else is so bland and all the villans are all two-dimensional badguys who only want to rule the world for no apperant reason, instead of acually giving them some depth. HnK acually feels like a martial artist series insted of a rediculus alien fighting series. Jyst becuse the fight don't last two hours dosen't mean that they suck

plaparen is right. dbz only focuses on alien powering up, but has no real martial arts. even son goku. if you notice any of thier fight, its not really martial arts anymore... theyre just hurling fists at each other. AND the fact that they cant do anything without transforming. the only reason its good is cause the fights lasts for weeks. elaborate it a lot more? elaborate your face.

The voice? That you've got, very close in tone to Linda Ronstadt.....great rendition vocally. But sorry to say guitar is not your thing..the rhythm was all wrong and you could have removed the capo and played in it the same exact key using the right (and easier to finger) chords (A, F#7 , D, E) But like I said you got the voice!!!
