If you are mechanically savvy you probably could save some money by doing it on your own, but like i said before, if you do it yourself you don't get a warranty or a shelby vin #, so you have no resale value either. And the 20's are nice, you don't go staggered setup on a Mustang unless you're running drag with it, which is not what the Terlingua is meant to do.

yeah there are alot. But arent 5.0s 4 cylinder? it doesnt matter if you turbo a 4 cylinder. It sounds the same anyway. But muscle cars like mustangs and camaros are made to blow, not suck (i dont mean it in taht way) hence muscle cars have blowers. Using a turbo they suck in air to add to the engines combustion.

That's sick. I would love to have a terlingua. I am not really a fan of drag racig, after you do it in the same car it gets really monotonous, I am a fan of bending the corners and this things looks like it would be crazy fun. And at 3300lbs, you can go STi, EVO hunting, in a damn Mustang...What the hell am I saying?

This Mustang is an absolute dream, however it does suffer from poor handling around corners. Shelby should have replaced Ford's stock axle, like they have done before or Ford could modernize their rear suspension for all future RWD models. I love my '05 Mustang. But in the 45 years Mustang has been in prduction only the '03&'04Cobra's had independent rear suspension. Just be glad that if Ford doesn't change it, you can out run your opponent out of the corner.

It's good looking and sound great, but so does any Mustang. If you give an American engineer a hundred thousand dollars to work with, they'll come up with something vastly superior than a European engineer who uses five times as much money. Sadly, the modern day Shelby GT500KR is the only exception to that rule. It's a horrible car and there's many more cars that can drive circles around it, and for less price. Buy yourself a Vette or a Viper.

Personally - I am wondering if this was even a comparison - or just a look at how biased, Edmunds (and its ilk, Consumer Reports) is about Asian cars. Oh - and I have driven both the STI and the Mustang. The Mustang has a much better clutch, betters shifter than the STI does. At least its a bit easier to use - the STI using the manual will hurt your leg after a while.

He turned a colossal failure of a Brit car into one of the most iconic racing cars of all time. Yes, i'd rather be seen in a Viper than a Cobra, but in terms of driving fun, it's like comparing an Escalade to a Lotus, the Cobra is fun to drive, and the Viper is harsh and unforgiving. no disrespect intended, but you mostly see replicas because very few people have the quarter of a mil or + spare in the bank to drop on a car... personally i doubt i ever will, however i'd LOVE to own a cobra. and if i did, i would rather drive it than put it under a glass case. i would feel more comfortable leaving a $30,000+/- replica alone in a parking lot than a $250,000+ original.

In my opinion the GT500 has to be the most overrated car ever made. I have seen them perform and have been very disappointed. I rarely see them get under 13.0 sec. They look nice though but just like any Mustang everyone's sister and grandmother has one.

I too have Sticky Fingers on vinyl. Ironically, "Dead Flowers" is a song that Mick doesn't sing very well. It's wide open for damn near anyone to outperform it. No one will ever put Mick's voice in the "classic" category. He's left many songs susceptible for better covers. However, the beauty of a well written song is that it allows others to interpret it.
