Well, im a jazz and classical pianist, so i've heard plenty of Herbie stuff, and i've heard plenty of Rudess stuff, and while Herbie is amazing, Rudess is just unbeatable when it comes to technical skills. This song doesn't come close to demonstrating Rudess's technical skills or speed. I've seen him play much hard and faster stuff.

When I was 13 and having lot's of music lessons, I was starting to develop perfect pitch. Later I droped it all and lost it. It's just practive, really. One needs to associate a note with a song one really knows and voila, every time you hear the note you'll remember the song and you know which note it is. That's all! :)

I love that 7th feel at the end. This video helps a LOT with rhythm and getting down the feel of what your playing. I think if you did the exercises on this video for like 15 minutes a day you'd be a FAR better player in a matter of weeks. I practice Hannon Piano exercises for 20 minutes a day and my playing technic has increased dramatically. And the more you do it, the better you get.
