What u have 2 understand here is that the LOTR is not a fantasy but an idea, an idea that even in darkness even the smallest flame can be the light needed 2 see out of the darkness and that music that peter jackson chose really helps the story and that he picked the best kind of instrumental and laungage in my book for all three movies and i hope that he uses music like this in The Hobbit when it comes out.

you are not a nerd, you just read the book, unlike many of the superficial audience here. PLUS without travelling on foot which leads to "alliance" with gollum, frodo would have kept the ring and sauron would found him. to the rest of you: point is in doing something almost impossible, growing up AND to battle your temptations/addiction... at the end frodo leaves because he is scarred, both physically and spiritually... OMG READ THE BOOKS OR AT LEAST WATCH ALL 3 FILMS AGAIN, i am done with this.

Just to clarify, the movie of The Hobbit is coming out in 2011, it will cover the book, then they're going to release the second part in 2012 which will cover a lot of things that weren't clear before the LOTR trilogy. Guillermo del Toro is directing and Peter Jackson has signed on as an executive producer (the same role that, comparatively, George Lucas served on Episodes 5 and 6 of Star Wars); Fran Walsh is screenplay/writing, Philippa Boyens is screenplay/writing. Cast hasn't been announced.

I made this video right when the movie came out. I notice a bunch of copies of my original version are on youtube, but I used a crappy camcorder bootleg to make it. This one I redid a few months later with an actual dvd. Anyway looking back on it some of the extremely literal editing is pretty silly, but oh well. enjoy.
