Actually, I agree with Imelda. Call me a devil's advocate. But the world is not always about material wealth. The song is OK, its the message that I dont agree with. I just read in the paper that Ian and two of his buddies just got indicted for their role in the event. I find that depressing because a lot of their supporters had spent a huge amount of time making up lies, trying to get their stories straight, hiding video tapes of the event, and filing false complaints against the police. See, if people took my advice in my last post asking people to "read the papers" once in a while, they'd have learned that Lewis had a copy-protected tape in the camera which he didn't realize until after the tasering had happened. The first shot you see in this video is the first shot Lewis recorded. It's unfortunate that generally the only people who take the time to post comments are those who for whatever reason (rational or irrational) are pissed off by what they see. Folks who are glad to see the truth come to light don't usually feel moved to post something. Hence the proportion of negative comments to positive ones. With the negative ones almost always full of inaccuracies. Folks should read the paper once in a while and actually keep up with what's going on.

Oh my gosh! I'm in the Elm City Girls' Choir, and sang both of the War Requiem performances last weekend. Frankly, with all due respect to Rostropovich, I didn't like this interpretation very much. It's very choppy and staccato and the women are in about three different keys because they aren't singing for long enough at a time to hear each other and stay in tune. The men are very tentative and behind the beat as well.
