I got a perm in august and now I want it to grow back so bad. Your hair will be so tangled all the time and you can't brush it, also straigtening it does not work well it always looks funny. And you can't blowdry your hair either it goes funky, also it takes like 2-4 years to grow out. My hair is damaged beyond repair, I have coloured it twice since the perm because it makes the hair look more healthy for about a week. The curls are loose though. Try hot oil treatements and heavy conditioners.

You should make a tutorial about how to comb your hair when wet carefully to stop breakage so your ends wont be uneven.Its a struggle to keep my length because whnever i comb hair hair when its wet my hair tends to break and it causes uneven length and i have to get my hair cut short everytime i got to the salon. I can't believe how my hair felt the first time I used the Aphogee. I did't go under the dryer I blew dried my hair and my hair came out so good. I'm so glad that I came across Ateyaaa's videos or I would have never used the Aphogee. It really depends how often you need a touchup, you need to find what works for you. Some of these fools think that because they do it everyone else should. You could lose a LOT of hair waiting till 12 weeks, depending on what kind of hair you have. If you can last its cool, but if your hair is breaking off at the newgrowth then you shouldn't be stretching too long.

yes it is arelxer the word perm was adoped over the yrs so yes you are correct most salons know what your asking for when you come in and yes a perm is when hair is changed to curly but most know what your talking about we/you did not fall off a potato truck hit our heads but the word perm is used because the hair has changed from what it was either straight or curly to a permenent state until different so its a fast way to say "im getting a perm/relaxer" same thought dif process.

yes you are right but if your clients hair over time gets bushy do you leave them to look like a poodle, and over time that hair will revert and then breakage you decide i dont have any bald clients after 30 yrs and my students are all doing well from there training so you keep doing your job and i will continue to mine with the yrs of good results REMEMBER i have no bald clients and extream hair breakeg look into that. look into that.

remember, you only use relaxer throughout the whole head of hair when the hair is virgin, meaning the hair on her/his head hasn't been relaxed previously. Otherwise, you would only apply relaxer on the ROOTS, the course, curly kinky part. And it would be a good idea to put conditioner/grease on the hair thats already relaxed to avoid overprocessing.

Thanks so much fern for this video it has really helped me I cut off all of my hair a year ago, because I used to use too much heat and it became damaged to the point of no return. I wanted a fresh start so I put in my relaxer and my hair is straight I love it because my hair is very coarse when it is natural but fine when it gets permed. I am so glad that I stumbled onto your video because I used to put my perms in incorrectly, and I would have puffy spots here and there lol but thanks so much.
