Messing about with pretty applications is not what I use a computer for. I boot up, get work done, and switch off. End of story.

There the widget things, quite useful, vista copied them, but you can turn them off in preferences with literally the click of a button, takes 20 seconds max. You dont have to delete any files, change any script, download any updates.... just click a button, you can also change what the button does with 1 click... also pressure pads on the side of the mouse... amazing isnt it.. though i know thats not for you, your smarter than us mac users so would prefer a more difficult way of doing it

I know something that would help. Ever heard of Anti-Virus chum? Visit a website if your that desperate for porn. If you download anything other than music of Limewire, your basically asking to be infected, because you will be. Even some crooks try to conceal trojans inside .mp3 files in order to try and exploit weakenesses in Windows Media Player, so I use Winamp to stay safe, so that it can't be exploited by some twat who thinks hes gonna catch me out with a virus.

Help guys, I can't get my Windows programs to work. There is no goddamn "Any" key - where is it? And I don't know how to carry it, it's plugged in by cords and stuff and there's no handle. No the centre ball is a good idea, but when you accidently push the ball in, the screen zooms out to show some other random crap like clocks and calanders. The computers at College boot up and are ready to use without warming up in less than 50 seconds, yes, 50, not 60. They are VERY fast, because they are virus-free.

Your friend is wrong, macs do have a right click and a delete key. though they are quite stylish cos the mouse looks like one button, though you can click it on the left or right. Also they have a ball on tthe mouse rather than a wheel so when within a window you can scroll right to left as well as up and down. Also on the mac books if you put 2 fingers on the mouse pad and move them, that works as a scroll in any direction, rather than going to the scroll bar though i suppose that is shit 2

Hmm, well I've seen no adverts, and I've never seen anyone in possession of a Mac - not an English person anyway. The onl Mac's I've seen are in shops, and when I enqired my friends about using Mac, they said that it was "hideous to use" as it had no right-click, and not even a delete key, just backspace.

I use both systems. I am fluent in both OS X and windows, and after 5 years of owning pc I switched. I don't run windows on my mac but I still use it to keep myself familiar with it. I'm getting there with linux (ubuntu & fedora). So, after using quite a share of OS I will have to go with OS X when it comes to ease of use and general creativity. I use mine for VFX and graphic design. I also happen to know that macs sell quite well over here.

Seeing as your from the same country as me, I think it's a safe bet to say that you would agree with me that Mac is a lot harder to get hold of over here because hardly anyone wants one, and a lot of people can't even afford them. As you well know, in the UK, Mac ads do not currently exist on TV or the radio, or on any other advertisements including posters, bus stop signs... nothing. If you walk into a computer shop, they sell PC's. John Lewis sell two MacBooks, and roughly 18 different PC's.

We just had two incidents with this item where a virus/worm was present on the machine out-of-the-box. In the most recent one, the worm was an autorun on the D:\ partition. The worm disables task manager, registry editor, won't allow you to see hidden files, disables anti-virus software and redirects your browser if you try to get on an anti-virus website.

That's what I was thinking, would it not be easier to hook the PC up directly to the TV? Seems like just another video to rile up the PS3 fanboys. would be cooler if there a way to use your ps3 hardware to run a beast of a pc game, i really havent found the ps3 6 axsis controlors tilt feature useful enough for any game to go through the trouble to set this up, i guess its cool you can play your pc games in surrond sound, kickin back on the couch if you got the set up, but its still way easier to just hook up your pc to the tv than to mess around with all that linux software.

Umm... It wouldn't last as long as the model i have, especially if you get the 900... EEE Pc 900. isn't Atom Chip therefore uses more power plus it uses a HardDrive... Which has a fan it, which needs power, therefore battery is lowered even more... EEE Pc maybe 2hours... Acer One maybe 2.5 hours... So not much of a differece... Why you want the Hard Drive Model??
