I love this song it is so powerful and the lyrics really hit you and so does the sound of the guitar at 3:12 my favorite part is when he starts repaeting that "I must keep reminding my self of this" it really connects to anyone who has been frustrated, confused, depressed, or hurt. You have to remind yourself of the lessons you learn and the pain that you've felt to help yourself. Progress can only be achieved through crisis and this song really speaks up for the few who are the patient.

It's called "The Darktown Strutter's Ball", an old jazz standard that was popular in the 20s and 30s. It's the same song that Katherine sings teasingly to Almasy earlier in the film when they're travelling in the car together, in the desert. Almasy "sings all the time" and indeed throughout the film you can hear him singing snippets of popular songs of the time. (Indeed, music from that era was great!) Another of the many, many lovingly crafted details that makes this film so wonderful.

First of all I am a HUGE fan of George Michael and "Father Figure" (I still listen to it in heavy rotation). I am a fan of PM Dawn and thought this song was beautiful. This group was awesome but "on another level". You have to think (and feel) outside of the box to really get them!!! Thanks for understanding. This song was such a personal song for me. A theme song really. It had me all emotional and in touched with the feminine side or those things we identify as such. i don't understand why america needs freddie mea and freddie mac?? buying home loans from the banks unloads the bank's risks and caused more unregulated loans to be given out. in other parts of the world (mostly) there are no such gov. body that buys loans from banks.....the banks takes total risk and therefore they are more careful who they give out loans to.

Yeah I'm aware McCain doesn't. He doesn't even support industrial hemp, which he ought to know better! I personally don't like either candidate, but I think most of us will admit this is one of the lesser important issues today, and this isn't a big enough issue to make me vote for a particular candidate or not.
