of course its not new,its over 100 yrs old, dont tell me that lol. its just not shown to electrical students and such thats why i put it up, its alomost been purposely hidden from people, so one wire transmission is possible and violates some basic electrical laws! i gave credit to tesla!

Man I really wish I could get into MIT but I highly doubt I could.. I am pretty confident that I could"survive" there but am not so confident in my personality. My grades are not so well right now but my test scores are decent I guess, but from what I've heard MIT cares more about your passion and determination for the subject than your test scores. I personally think I have a good a amount of both but I don't know how to make that evident to them..and it's too late to start doing my homework.

Don't get too confident. This is the first lecture and a mere intro to linear algebra. Linear algebra gets way more in depth with vector spaces, basis transformations, Wronskian determinants and more mathematically-intensive concepts. The topic of systems of equations is appropriate for middle school students...I would be less inclined to say the same about more advanced linear algebra.

As a physics undergrad and a mech. engineering grad student, I have to grudgingly admit that linear algebra has to be one of the more useful branches of math. I can't imagine doing any kind of academic work without invoking some sort of concept from linear algebra.

Thanks for this video. Although some people are saying this class is very basic, I think the classes should be by this way. Being able to understand the fundamental facts, a good book fully of hard exercises would be the next step. MIR edition books normally have the tougher exercises in Physics. i.e: Selected Problems of Elemental Physics by Saraeva.

Er ist ein genialer Schauspieler, aber wenn er spontan redet ist es mir oft sehr schwer ihm zuzuhören/zu folgen. Aber auf jeden Fall war diese Reporterin unfreundlich, ungebildet und ignorant. Kinski mag oft ausrasten, aber diesmal hatte er alles Recht dazu!

Klaus Kinski war gewiss ein schwieriger mensch mit dem es nicht immer leicht war zu leben. aber er ist gerade wegen dieser arte und wegen diesem lebenstil sowohl geliebt als auch gehasst...ich halte ihn für einer der menschen die es nie gescheut haben sich so auszudrücken wie sie es auch meinen. er tat was er wollte und er sagte was er wollte...und wenn es ihm nicht passte hat er das ganz klar und offen gesagt ...und das kann ihm jawohl keiner übel nehmen!

ich stehe vollkommen hinter herrn kinski... und auch das die alte schrulle ihn nicht ausreden lässt, finde ich sehr "ungehobelt" wie schon einige vor mir sagten... was glaubt die denn wen sie vor sich hat? aber bei dem einen was er sagte "...nur scheiß filme gedreht..." kann ich ihm leider nicht zustimmen...einige filme ( zB. einige Western..) wahren (sind) immernoch sehr gut !

You may push to give a DIFFERENT scientist credit. The truth may be that his wife, student, assistant, rival, or someone totally unknown to him deserves credit. You cant know. Is the point WHO stated an idea? Does its source make it true, or false? The problem is not WHICH authority they site but that they site ANY authority. The teachers of this topic need to stop name dropping and teach concepts. The ideas presented then either stand up to experiment or they do not.

Either the students KNOW this material already or they do not. If they do, then this material is redundant. If they do not, then an appeal to authority is NOT the way to teach. Save the name dropping for a later course on the history of science. This would allow for enlarged discussion of the social and political ramifications of scientific discovery. Students are corrected for appeal to authority in their arguments, yet instructors model this same ERROR.
