I said something like this on his Drifting video. The reason why Andy is so fantastic is because he returns to roots...he isn't heavily produced...it's just him and his guitar. With such a simple instrumentation, he makes harmonies and rich textures that three-piece bands can't make nowadays. That's something worth drinking to.

hollllllly crap that's an expensive guitar, I happen to have a great electric, a gibson 1980 les paul, you can check it out in my vids, and it was $1500, sooo...around 850 pounds, but I haven't ever gotten around to getting a better acoustic, so I'm still stuck with mine, although the 'rents said they'd match whatever I saved up, and I've had my eye on a Gibson Hummingbird, so hopefully, I'll be getting that once I save up some money =)

NO a martin would not sound the good. its a Lowden, O body shape. fantastic guitars, light as a feather, responisve, good volume, great projection, amazing tone, good play ability. unfortunately, they are about £3k, so i can only dream of owning one. oddly enough the guitar andy is using here is not his own, he borrowed it, andy used an avalon for the album, which is basically a lowden but with very subtle differences

Its a baritone guitar. For just a small fortune you can get one of these handcrafted pieces of art. The tuning is 4 full steps lower then a normal guitar. If you have a decent guitar that can hold a .13 you might be able to tune it down and make it sound like one. Greets Ger.

bollocks... you can't teach someone to have a sense of rhythm so they can play the drums. you can't teach someone to have long fingers so they can span 5 frets on the guitar/bass. singing is something that is in all of us... why do you think african tribes can all sing in tune with no "training"? they do it from birth and practise, but it is 100% them. people just need to let go of what "proper singing" is.

i think you couldnt be more wrong. look at the lead singer of fall out boy. they dont even write their own material, plus he's fat, and they're hugely famous. looks arent everything in the world's crappy media spotlight. id say the biggest thing keeping him from becoming mainstream is that there are no vocals. if john mayer was just a guitarist and not a singer, he wouldnt be known. so the top reasons that you put up (forgetting #4 btw) are completely bogus and proven wrong in other settings.

um, don't get mad, I'm just going to list a few reasons why he's not famous: 1. He's Overweight 2. He doesn't look like tom cruise 3. He's bald 5. He's old (no potential) but I like this style, its unique, but its just 3 minutes of fame. However, he's better than Soulja Boy or that other currupted MTV bullshit. Soulja Boy, get real, you got famous by yelling "YOUUU" at the camera so take a seat cuz ur 4 minutes of fame has just ended. "No talent" should be on Soulja Boy's shades.

I agree with you. The damn paparazzi's and newspaper's can destroy an artist. Andy needs to be alone and take his time to make new wonderful songs, if the newspapers say something very bad about Andy that ain't true that will affect on Andy's work. It't sad that if you are famous you can't relax when all "assholes" are after you assholes=paparazzi's) but I think Andy is happy. His dream was to play guitar and now he can do that so to become famous is not Andy's biggest goal in his life I think.
