Yeah Duff and Slash are REALLY down to earth and friendly, I met Slash when I got my book signed at a VR concert, and it was awesome to meet my hero, he really listens to what you have to say and genuinely enjoys meeting the fans. I saw Duff live a few weeks ago. He was in a group called bison and it was him as well as Mike McCreedy of Pearl Jam, another guitarist from Presidents of the United States of America and a drummer from the Dusty 45's. It was truly amazing.

Ps. They look really good for their ages and all the years of drug and alcohol abuse. I can completely understand and respect their need for privacy and that they don't want fans screaming at them or hanging all over the place. I could careless about celebrities. No offence to Duff as i think he is a brilliant bass player, but i wish he had not taken all of those recreational substances as during the concluding phase of GNR he looked awful i.e. a large amount of weight on his face, hair looks dirty. Just watch some of the interview's from 90 - 93 and you will see what i mean. In comparison, look at him now, he looks healthy and clean.

for you guys who did not know matt's kit, his kit was heavy in terms of toms and rides, as he has to make way for the gun's guitars (guns n roses band are heavy on guitars, not drums), that is why his drum solo's kind of cheesy, and his bass although muffled, but still a lil cheesy the current matt sorum's kit (with velvet revolver, but i heard they have alredi disband) is lighter, less toms, less cymbals, but longer sticks, and easy ready-to-hit sets,and his bass is awesome

Matt did do a great job on uyi albums but I believe most of the songs were already written when he joined the band. But I like both drumers, Steven has a more simpiler style than Matt which was perfect for GNR but Matt would have added another element to the band when writing the follow up uyi had they not fallen apart first.
