It's a shame that the best song needs to be removed from the MGS- series. Even though the series got dozens of great soundtracks,This one was one of the many reasons that gave you an MGS-feeling.

Well this makes my dick limp. But it really isn't a surprise, the Metal gear saga borrows heavily from all sort of things. The original cover art for metal gear was stolen from terminator, lolz. And even Snake Pliskin was homaged. I do think they should credit people they use art samples from though, even if it is a little late now.

It seems like you people never heard about the first Metal Gears, which were made in 1987 and 1990, back then someone helped kojima with the soundtracks, and probably helped with the later metal gear solid. It never meant that kojima or harry-gregson composed the main theme. Theme of Tara was, probably, a remix of this song, and the guy who chose it probably didn't say that to the rest of the crew. So whatever, this music is also awesome. Want him to sue kojima for this? C'mon.

The most damning thing about the original MGS theme is that it has two "sections" or themes, in essence each separate or feasibly standalone, a la Indiana Jones' two sections (which, according to John Williams, each section was a candidate for the "official" IJ theme, but instead he fused them together), however this song has only one. However, each of the MGS theme's incorporates different aspects of this song... to me, that evidence obviously points to the fact that this theme was ripped off.

LOL this is funny Kojima can't believe what heis hearing. And guess what Its no plagiarism. The original MGS theme envolves a lot of tecno and basically composed to be played that way. Williams made some mods to the music and used orquestra sounds, but even that was only on MGS3. besides the music doesn't have that much similarity with the MGS theme. Its quite different in fact with the exception of some parts. =D

I guess we have to agree to disagree like some people say. When I was in fine art school I created some sculptures installations that required interactivity from the viewer, interactivity doesn't make something art or not. Video games is a different kind of interactivity but it still makes the audience think and that has a lot to do with art. Some games do stand the test of time maybe not exactly like movies but some do become memorable...

I don't make games, but I still feeel I have enough latitude to say that anything can be a work of art. Ask anybody who loves cars and he will name you a couple of classic cars that some would consider works of art. Same thing for games. Ultima 7 part 1 and 2, mario brothers, Final Fantasy series, etc. Art is a medium through which one communicates a message or feeling in symbolism. hmm lemme think ppl only buy games for personal taste which is why game developers appeal to those type of ppl saying they should buy or like the 360 because of taste is stupid i had a 360 it failed 5 times on me which is why I prefer a ps3 dont get me wrong the 360 is an excewllent system for online play, wii is good for parties exercise and family fun which is why its selling so good the ps3 is themost powerful system but its liabrary is small for now if u exclude the ps1 and ps2 games
