i think whats even sadder is this is journey live and its pure amazing!!!!!!!!! but singers and bands today have to get work done on there CD's and tweaks and perfections to sound anywhere close to this. and i think thats really one drawback that i have to my friends music. im glad i can still come and listen to classics though :D

Dude, this really pisses me off. Journey was a really good band I always felt they had a lot of rock in them. But this Perry had to totally make them so easy listening. they didnt dump steve perry,they were ready to comeback but steve needed hip replacement. they gave him a year and after that year he still hadnt done it so they got tired of waiting,plus steve wouldnt agree with the contracts that were being presented.Steve perry is the voice,true. but im glad the rest of the band found arnel,plus steve still gets his royalties thats what he cared about money. I think they both did a respectable job of keeping the old hits alive, but when I want to hear the "real" versions of my old favorites, I head right back to Steve Perry. Look at what the rolling stones can pull in on tour. Nostalgia sells. Even Led Zeppelin sound shit now, a guitarist cant carry a band. Im a huge fan but I know its over, its too much like kareoke to me now. Enjoyable, but cringy at times.

I was at Chastain, Atlanta and it was great. Definitely the best tribute band Ive ever seen. All journey fans are nostalgic about their old material and wont let go. Pineda is raw talent and sings the old material flawlessy but that doesnt disguise the fact that their new material is pure cock rock nonsense. If Steve Perry toured with them again, Pineda wouldnt get a look in.
