Jake was a devout Catholic and in my opinion did a lot to relax attitudes towards the Church with such songs as this,after all,if you can't laugh at yourself you have no right to giggle at anyone else,sad,sad day when he died.Thanks for posting.

The first time i saw jake was at the crucible theatre in sheffield in 1971. With my mum dad and sister. By the way i was 9 and my sister 7 years old.Memory fails me as to which song my sister requested, but we left a note at the stage door, and jake announced he was singing it for Sarah, (my sister). I saw him many more times at the rockingham arms at wentworth and spoke to him several times. What a wonderful wordsmith, and very underated guitarist. Im 46 tomorrow and jake remains a hero!
