Does it matter how they got the money? From visiting there and talking with Doug, the people before them really hurt the land. That swamp was drained, and all the ecosystem life was hurting bad. By adding diversity and building humus and reforming the swamp, they had muskrats! Then, they later had otters which went after the muskrats! As for the land, most of it they own, and some they have permission to use from neighbors who really enjoy the work they have been doing.

I don't know more than the brothers told us in the interview; I didn't get the impression of a wealthy family. I know they put a lot of hard work into that land, and still are. Of course, price of good arable land is going up everywhere.

Bullock? is this the financially well to do family? I think the FIRST question to ask is how the land was acquired. From what I understand land on Orcas Island is not cheap, even 25 years ago it was pricey. After one can afford the land, the rest is cake. Sorry to have reality sneak into the picture.

Nice driving! I have an 87 Cab. and love it. Not using to potential yet - PCA DE courses require roll bar for Cabs and not quite ready to do that yet. There just nothing like that Porsche exhaust note - beautiful music. Keep the vids coming!

I never had a lag @ 4K as you do, but the headers and muffler definitely woke up the motor. The butt dyno tells me about 15 hp was gained. Nothing huge, but the throttle response is WAY better, and the engine certainly breathes freer. The weight reduction in the rear was another bonus. You'll have to get Steve to program you another chip if you make the change, but I highly recommend it. Good luck!!

Hello, very nice car. I own a stock 87 carrera too. I noticed you don't seem to have the dreaded 4,000RPM lag that plagues me. I have a chip from 911chips, but other than that it's bone stock, including the original CAT. There's only 50,000 miles on it, so I doubt the CAT is too clogged. Just wondering what kind of power increase going to headers and a 2/2 M&K gave you. Is that what eliminated your powerband lag?

Great pictures, great sound, great car! The 911 Carrera 3.2 was always my favourite Porsche. Had the opportunity to drive a Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet with 458000 kms! Engine was still going strong, the car is no sold and new build up and runs in Spain and no longer in Switzerland.

The traits you refer to are the product of drivers unfamiliar with the rear weight bias of Porsches. If you do decide to buy, I strongly suggest you join the PCA and attend their Autocrosses and Driver's Education events (DE's). There you will learn from an instructor just what these cars can do. Once mastered, there's nothing like pushing a 911 to the limit.

I am looking at an 87 Cabrio to buy. I have read alot about bad traits in these cars such as off throttle oversteer, severe understeer, bump steer, going off the road backwards. Looks like a solid performer to me.. Opinions please??.. Thanks.

Engine is original, never been opened. 115K miles and still going strong. You are correct, the rod bolt issue has reared it's head on some 3.2's, that's why you hear me short-shifting at 6200 RPM. Going to see how long I can go before a rebuild.

Are the 9mm conrod bolts still factory on your 3.2L? I ask this because I read in W.Dempsey's 911 engine book that after the 10mm conrod bolts of the 3.0L SC, Porsche then used the 9mm (same as 3.3 Turbo)on the new 3.2L Carrera in 84 - 89. Dempsey has noted that SOME 3.2 engine's conrod bolts failed due to too much driving over or near redline and that updating to stronger after market ones could be the go. All the best.

Then we kind of agree, no need to call names over semantics. With the unification though I do expect more talent to come through the Indy Lights, as the Atlantics are getting a bit irrelevant now. The current crop in the Firestone Indy Lights is pretty decent, and for example any European with AOWR ambitions knows that's the place he needs to be. Another problem is that there aren't much opportunities in the ICS for Indy Lights grads, especially with Duno and Roth taking up some of the seats...

I was referring to the "new" Indy Lights, as it is being marketed by IMS. Which in reality is the Indy Pro Series/Infiniti Pro Series. It has NO relation to the graduates from Indy Lights under CART. That is the point. The new Indy Lights has produced ZERO talent. Any and all talent from CART that later went to the IRL went through CART Indy Lights until it imploded. The new Indy Lights is not to be confused with the CART version that actually produced talent and meant something.

dumbass, none of those are Indy Pro Series driver. They were Indy Lights drivers in a rung of the ladder under CART that ceased existence and was not restarted/retooled by CART/Champ Car. The IPS has NOTHING to do with Indy Lights. Might want to go back and look at the record books again.

Sure, I could modify them to hold their full capacity, it would be easy as falling off a log. It would also be easy for the RCMP to track me down from this video and bust me with "prohibited devices". It'd be easy for the crown to convict me. Also easy for the judge to sentence me to up to 5 years for each count of possession of a prohibited device. Easy like borscht. The exempt rifles are the Lee-Enfield and M1 Garand if I remember correctly.

Actually 5 rounds per magazine. Canadian law mandates that all centerfire rifles (barring a couple of named exceptions) can have magazines holding no more than 5 rounds. While I have 30 round magazines they are pinned/riveted to hold only 5 rounds.

its about the ammo, .223 is a better shooting range setup, it has snall diameter and gets higher velocity, but in combat I vould rely more on 7.62x39 (AK and vz58 uses the same ammo), it has better stopping and breaching effect (you have to shoot things too, not just bodies), while .223 will wound target more, but you will not reach target in light armoured car, wall etc. and will need more bullets stop stop driving car.

you talking BS. vz58 will NOT jam in sand conditions (unless you used a crap copy). Indeed its even more reliable than AK, there is no question, its locking system is more simple than the AK. This was under ideal shooting conditions; warm, bright, and with almost no wind. Even so the groupings were huge! 2.5 to 3 feet across. I'm certain the rifle is capable of even better accuracy but at this distance the front sight post appears to be as wide as the entire target panel.

lol its all good! Well im not in high school anymore but i am in a winter guard. We have only have one show this far. This past weekend up in Ferndale, MI. Our first WGI regional this year. We got second in our class IA out of 10 other guards. The name of the guard is Usurpation, based out of Kokomo, Indiana. lol anyways i hope that helps.
