I don't believe that even the winning five would demand a strict scrutiny standard be applied to the 2A, which means that they would probably allow an AWB or ban on right to carry laws. Bottom line is even since the Heller decision, he's never retracted any of his anti-gun positions despite being pressed on it. He merely talks around it. So if the likely supermajority in the Senate and House passes some anti-gun crap he will not hesitate to sign it. And all we can do is hope that in 3-5 years when it reaches the Supreme Court he hasn't replaced any conservatives and they stand up...

... the new ban being pushed doesn't have a 10 year or any sunset provision and is even more restrictive than the first. As for the Heller decision, have you read it?! It's positive but it hasn't been incorporated against the states under the 14th yet, it's leaves room for restrictions which must be ruled on at a future time, and Obama stated on his website as recently as the Nov 5th that one of his goals is renewing and making permanent the AWB. As for concealed carry, he still was on air...

Everyone already knows that using the knife is the easiest way to kill him, blah blah blah... but this video was damn awesome. I've beaten Krauser so many times with the knife, but I don't think I don't have the precision and timing enough to be able to kill him like this. I freaked out a bit whenever you got close to having to re-load, because you never know when that split second will cost you. Great job, and you've got awesome skill with the game.

You'd be surprised, I've guys at the range trying to hit a target 10 yards away, with LASER SIGHTS miss. The problem is that if you twitch the trigger, your gun tends to go up and the bullet goes high. That's why they tell you to squeeze softly and in a controlled manner, which would be difficult in a life or death situation. Having an inaccurately gun can only exacerbate that. Fortunately most handguns are pretty accurate nowadays.

I agree totally. One of the biggest things people take for granted is stress response. Your accuracy will suffer greatly under stress already... not a good idea to go out of your way to make it worse.

i dont think a gun can miss a 1 and a half to 2 foot wide target, im pretty sure even the worst gun would not have that bad of a grouping, if someone cant hit a man size target at 7 yards i think they should go to another place to take there test, sorry if i have offended you but i just dont think accuracy on guns well new guns anyway would be that bad, there for i say accuracy isnt that important, now that i think of it 7 yards is a little to far rapes and muggings are up close and personal

I STRONGLY disagree that accuracy isn't important in self and home defense. You would be amazed at how inaccurate a shooter can be even with man-sized targets within 7 yards. And we are responsible for every bullet that leaves the muzzle of our firearms. If they don't hit the target they have to stop somewhere. Accuracy assures they hit what you intend. When the bad guy is standing between you and innocent people that makes accuracy MOST important.

that hallo point is a hydra-shock verry good bullet, accuracy isnt important in self and home defence normaly the enemy will be within the 7 yard range, glock 26 is the best selfe defence pistol IMO, 12 ga shot gun with bird shot for home defence, should use those at the target range to get familer with them, those are just my OPINIONS,i reccomend hydra-shock or winchester silver tips for your self defence carry gun, i would reccomend the extreme shock fang face rounds more though

I never said anything bad or negative about the .45LC. It's a fine cartridge. Nor did I say anything against carrying a SA revolver. I'm not sure where you got the idea that I did. If that's what you carry, great. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to just anyone, but I'm certainly aware that there are those who handle SA revos 100x better than your average semi-auto shooter. I have an extremely open mind to my viewers, students and calibers. Not sure where you got the idea otherwise.

I had to laugh when you said 45LC is just ridiculous I get your small frame but you seem really bright and your hatein on my caliber gee thanks. I am a big guy so no issue as far as recoil and sheer size yes it is only 6 rds but really 45LC one should do it I carry a Ruger vaquero and yes it is SA but a hammer pull is much easy than your 1911 safety and maybe slide depending on your carry style as far as fine motor skills so just keep an open mind to your viewers and calibers. Love your videos!!

this is support of tsaketh's comment, on 3 separate occasions when I lived in an apartment the cops knocked on our door to respond to a domestic disturbance call. needless to say we were not involved. the idiot cop went to the wrong complex. this happened 3 times in 1.5 years. I personally have more experience with the Smith and Wesson .40s. Good rounds, good guns :). When a 9mm just won't cut it. A tad on the bulky side for carrying though. For home defense just get yourself a shotgun and cover a hallway or doorway from behind cover til' the cops show up ;)

I like your videos. They are very detalied. And you have a nice collection of 1911's. Im about to purchase a m96 beretta for my job. It shoots 40 S&W. It might not be as brutal as a 45 but i think it still have a good amount of stopping power.. Better than the m9 (in my opinion) thats shoots 9mm, which just pokes holes.

it depends if you'll carry it or use for home defense. if you carry you'll want something small, perhaps a sig p229 or p250 both are small and availible in 9mm, .357 sig, and 40 s$w. caliber is purely opinion i think...also it doesnt matter how large your caliber is if u dont hit anything like miss girly in the video says!. i carry a S&W 1911 personally, but again she hits the nail on the head. find out which u can manage the best and go with that! good luck and be safe

He wasn't even holding the gun right, he held it like a rifle, so he only had one hand to stabilize it, at least with a rifle you have your shoulder. And he leaned away from the gun in fear. Of course it would do that. Also I'm pretty sure it's a NE .600 pistol. Because the S&W .500 looks considerably different. I personally like how the S&W .500 looks. My personal preference is a smaller caliber so I can get more rounds off w/o having to recover from that recoil.

unless you have really really tight pants you should not need larger pants in order to wear a paddle style holster, on the other hand most inside the waistband holsters require you to go up an inch or two in waist size to make them comfortable, i buy my pants a size larger to accomodate this, and if im not carrying i just cinch my belt a notch tighter.

you're right about shoulder holsters, in many ways the shoulder rig is built for comfort so its more attractive to people in law enforcement, where concealment isnt an issue. Also they are a godsend to people who want to carry a very large handgun. I carry a 6.5 inch 44 magnum in mine in the winter under a coat, but youre right in regards to their ability to conceal

I've never had much use for a press check or chamber check. In the more than 25 years that I've been shooting, teaching and carrying a gun. I have never not know whether there was a round in the chamber. Whenever someone hands me a gun, I clear it. I don't care if I cleared it, they cleared it and handed it back to me. I clear it every time.

Doing a chamber check (like the schools that taught the "press check") does nothing for clearing the weapon. It only tells you if there is a round in the chamber. Since the first rule of safety is "Treat every gun as if it were loaded", one presumes that there is a round in the chamber until proven otherwise.

The whole idea of chamber checking a weapon first is that you never perform a procedure on your firearm UNTIL you know the status of that weapon. Simply picking up the gun and pulling the magazine out flys in the face of that principle..!! I am assuming that you know how to perform a chamber check...it does NOT alter the state of the weapon when performed correctly. Lastly, tell me the mere act of removing the magazine from the weapon first is safer than performing a chamber check first.

Taking money from the rich guy and giving it to the poor will in essence have a high probability of destroying those business that circulate the revenue in the economy in the first place b/c typically those better off businesses are successful. There are generalities and things to look for on a firearm that make it better suited for the use you INTEND it for, but that doesn't mean it HAS to be used for that purpose and that purpose alone. A gun is whatever you make of it despite marketing. I have a Browning Buckmark .22 target pistol in my safe sitting beside a Thunder Ranch Special Les Baer .45. If I grab my .22 in the heat of the moment and use it as a defense gun that doesn't make it any less of a target gun. Just because a firearm is marketed for a particular use doesn't mean it can't be used otherwise. Countless bird and hunting shotguns have been used in home defense over the years.

I did not say they were poor range guns. Any gun is first a range gun because that's where its going to see most, if not all, of its action. What I was talking about was if you were purchasing only to shoot on the range MOST people go for the smaller calibers that are cheaper. I do know people who purchase VERY large guns with large calibers for range use and that is perfectly fine if that's what they want and can afford. But I've also seen people stop shooting because they can't afford ammo.

I respectfully disagree that higher calibers are poor range guns... Managing recoil, reacquiring sight picture, and developing muscle memory can't happen when you switch sizes. You should get range time with the caliber you're gonna use! If you prefer a .45 or .357, while you'll pay more for training, you would be remiss to think you're going to hit what you aim at if you're training with a .22, .25, .32, or 9mm and then carry a bigger bullet.

For a first pistol I would recommend something in an average barrel; 3.5"-5" in either a .38 or .38 special revolver, or if you prefer an auto get a .380, 9mm, or .40. Going smaller than a .38 might be a better choice for a second pistol intended only for range use, competition, or plinking (shooting at random shit) 'cause it's cheaper. Higher calibers; .357, .45, .50 might be better choices for experienced shooters(esp. as a first purchase).
