Man!!! you guys should know that that GN blade isn't sharp at all. It uses solar particles to heat up so it can slice some thing sup. Watch him slash enemy mobile suits. You see orange and metal melting not it being sliced up.

but in the end, the only person who can pilot the VF-27 is only that guy's species. his entire species have died off, i watch MF myself as well my friend, they are not better than one another, they are on par but i will not accept the fact that the VF-27 is better. it is only a unit by itself. sure it may beat a Gundam and a Trans-am but are you sure that its weaponry can break through the GN fields and particles that enhance them? can you be sure it will withstand the GN Particles as well?

lLelouch, The VF 27 from Macross Frontier (2008) is the latest in cutting edge technology in the Macross Universe. The VF-27 can easily defeat the Trans AM system. Why ? Because like the YF-21 from Macross Plus, the pilot controls the Valkryie with his thoughts. He basically is the mech. That makes him faster then Gundam pilots that have to rely on standard flight controls. You can see the VF 27 in action here "Macross Frontier VF 27" (Linkin Park Pushing me away).

If you are saying the beam hit a non military target, the only thing shown would be that empty plain. The section with buildings on it was the MILITARY BASE. Do you see that we are talking about a base that is hit? A military base = a military target. The president moved to that base when the war moved to space. He sent a fleet from that same base, to assault ZAFT. If civilians are living on a military base, they are living in a military target. While some civilians may live there, that doesn't make the base a civilian city and non military target.

Not really. We already see that Kira is at best, 3rd in the lineup of best pilots in GSD. Shinn and Athrun have proven to be better pilots (in terms of actual pilot skill) than Kira. It comes down to SF being an exceedingly OP MS. The thing is exceptional at all ranges of combat. The only MS that is probably actually better than it in any regard, would be I Justice in melee range. Kira's inability to defeat/disable Shinn, speaks volumes for Shinn's ability.

The comment about SF being a super robot is an opinion held by many fans. I am not claiming that as a cold hard fact however. SF is extremely powerful, too the point that it almost isn't even possible for a grunt MS to take it out. Much like in Super Robot animes. I find that it is verging on being a super robot in a realistic robot anime (GSD)just in terms of relative power to other machines. How it fights grunts shredding waves of them in seconds is very reminiscent of a Super Robot.

I agree, super robot anime is a cool genre. However, my complaint with Strike Freedom is that it is on the verge of being a super robot, in an anime that is realistic robots, which makes it arguably OP. I don't particularly like how ridiculously OP it is compared to opponents, it kind of takes away from the story for me. A super robot anime, you have off the wall stupidly powerful robots duking it out, defying all logic and physics, which is great, but doesn't mix well with realistic robot.

The Gundam franchise does have many recurring themes, that just kind of make it Gundam. Like Colony Drops, War, Environmental concerns, advancing oneself beyond what they are (Like Newtypes, G Gundam's super mode) and obviously mecha. G Gundam still contains many of the staples of Gundam. Not to belittle G Gundam, but it still has many similarities (while like others is still a distinct series) to the rest of the franchise.

Actually the Freedom can be just as good as the Gundam Wing models in hand to hand because next to Destiny, Freedom is the fastest Gundam. Also don't foget I belive the Burning Gundam could be the best at hand to hand combat. But I think a battle between Wing Zero and the Freedom would be even though.

Wow. I am just amazed. This was for the PS1, right? Damn. That's pretty good quality for such an old game that I never knew about. But what a strange battle system. It's a action/RPG by the looks of it, isn't it? I'm also surprised that they actually took white people to do their acting for them and voiced over them. Not something I'd expected.
