SRT8 is much much better because the SRT8 shows you its power anywhere, i have both :D .. the shelby 500 is just allot of power that doesn't really come out of the engine except if you have a like 200km straight line highway with no cops at all... street racing is better with a challenger.

i agree that design is the same same same.....but the performance makes all that go away....hell it proves to be alot better than the Skyline GTR R35.....now thats one advancement in american car production....no american cars in the long run beat reviews of specialist to that of japanese cars...the zr1 did....i was amazed....but from outside...its another corvette

Problem with American Cars the suspension is as way to soft, they cant handle high speed comfortably and they can't corner worth a shit. Too heavy? no problem, just put a bigger engine in it..Think american! err Newton ring any bells? Object/mass? The problem is you have other european cars that weigh less, can corner better and would see this off on a race track! I would love to see it beat a BMW M3 or a porcsche, but it ain't going to happen is it? It is a shame, mean looking ain't it!!

Nice car but a bit too expensive if you ask me, if its a car that should be able to compete with (for example) the Nissan GT-R. That does the slalom over 70mph, the drag in 11.2 seconds and is even cheaper, basically ripping it apart. This argument is hilarious. I've raced a Z06 with a GT500 on Hallett Motor Speeday, and kicked it's ass. The C6 is nice, but Z06's are lame compared to the GT500. Weight is one things, but there is no doubt that Ford's 5.4 eats the Z06 for lunch.

And too all those track and strip enthusiests, both cars are great for them. And end results dont always depend on the cars, they also depend on who drives them. Some people are really good drivers and some just suck, but who cares!? You own a badass car with like 500+hp and tuned supspensions. I could go one, but im pretty sure most of you get the point by now. And like i said, Ford MO CO and GM have helped build this country, so be proud you own one of these cars. I know i am.

Man i really hate it when people talk shit about other cars. Cant you all admit that both Corvette and Mustang GT500 are great cars. And who cares about the track, all i want is a quality car that drives good and turns heads, and both cars are great candidates. After all these two cars helped build America and represent it proudly. So if i ever had to choose i would choose both.
