this is stupid...wolfs hunt elks until there are too many wolves then the wolves start dying out because theres not enough elk, then the grizzles take out the wolves reducing thier population, the elk pop grows a bit and the grizzlies hunt them, then the wolf population grows again... I think he went too far with his project but I can understand his childlike feelings for the animals.When I was being treated for cancer I formed a tremendous bond with my dog during my painful lonely hours. I kind of indentified with TT during that time and really feel sad that he is gone. In my opinion TT was a lonely man who found companionship amongst the animals because he did not function well with humans.

how can you compare rapists with TT? my point in first place didn't have anything to do with him living with bears, but that he did what he wanted most, which was to live in the wild among bears and other animals. but i agree with the fact that he should not interact with the bears so much as he did. that was wrong since the bears got very used to people and the bears don't know the difference between good people and the people who will harm them or hunt them.

Although we have yet to completely analyze all of the data and form a comprehensive study every indication shows that almost 80 percent of the bears that Treadwell interacted with have been killed. Their lost instinct to fear man, thanks to TT, put them in undesirable positions in hunting season (the bear maze is not a part of the park) and caused the death of at least 4 bears within the park who became a danger to themselves and visitors. These bears would likely not be dead if not for TT.

Saw the flick. Not bad for a Manitoba made movie I guess. Trouble is, there haven't been any grizzlies in Manitoba for about 100 years, with the exception of the odd one spotted north of Thompson (very very rare). Another thing, in that boreal forest setting, the mosquitoes would have been murder. There were none.

I think this video speaks great volumes and is remarkably poignant for being so simple. Fantastic detail, great work all around. Amazing song as well! There's a version of this in HD floating around the internet somewhere; def worth watching so all the detail isn't washed away.
