I personally do not care about charity, taxes, and have no sense of noblesse oblige. Would that make me greedy or financially driven? I do not crave material things since they come to me rather easily. I do see making money as a game. I want to make lots of it purely for the sake of sport. I remember the storm when this happened. I grew up in northern lower MI was supposed to go to brownies after school that day, but it was cancelled. We lost electricity for a few days, and had no school. We listened to the radio by the woodstove that night and they were reporting of the Edmund Fitzgerald going down. It was very sad. I hadn't heard this song in a few years and want to thank you for posting it on you tube. I just love this song!

No, it just looks like it because of the angle of the final shots. The last shot from Google Earth is a shot of Lake Superior from about Duluth, MN pointing eastward. You have to look at the shape of the lake, it is definately Lake Superior then follows some kind of fly-over or satellite shot that has a similar position. There is one Google Earth shot that before the last which shows the whole of the Great Lakes though.

lol she was an iron ore carrier. they went of corse to try to stay safe trying to hug the coast. the captian on the ship following them said the lights of it just disapered to this day they still dont know how it sunk. there alot of ideas how; like two waves went under each end and it collapsed or that the contaners for the ore got filled but no one knows. they just had a memoriol for the family's they replaced the bell on it with a bell that had all 29 people's names that was on her.

The Edmund Fitzgerald did sink on Lake Superior ("Lake Gitchigumi" - indian for shining waters) - "Lake Superior it's said never gives up it's dead" - the EF museum is at the entry point to "White Fish Bay". The final "zoomed in image" to begin the song is NOT Lake Michigan, but rather a view of Lake Superior facing east (as if you were standing above Wisconsin facing the Atlantic Ocean) - which, by the way, is where they picked up their load of "iron ore".
