Glen or Glenda? - Glen's Battle/Acceptance Posted by: bumblebert
Video duration: 598 seconds Global video hits: 22539 In a startingly surreal sequence from Ed Wood's 1953 film "Glen or Glenda?" Glen (Played by Wood himself) battles his other transvestite self as Bela Lugosi overlooks. To cap it all off is the most famous scene in the movie when Dolores Fuller hands Ed her Angora Sweater...Wonderful! Art through sheer incompetence! Parts of it remind me of the work of David Lynch or even Bunuel!!! who cares about where blues originated from? Why don't yu just watch the video and enjoy the beauty of it? haha
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 03:01:47
Here is what happens to me when I listen to this song. Do a urube for: Marie Digby - Stupid For You (Original Song). Look for her in the light blue dress. Has ro be light blue dress. Click that video. Then, around 0:28 you will see a dog approach her. The dog walks up to her, suffering her lame sort of pitch, he whimpers. The poor little fella begs her to stop the nonsense/non-science. That is me when I listen to these songs. I am the dog. Begging to make the silly shit stop that hurts me.
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 02:26:22
LOL, I thinka I be gotten a new friend. :) Well, I say science is more important because of the simple fact, tone generates pitch and melody. Tone, which is the science of sound waves, is way way more important than what an artist plays musically, from the "heart". Not "at" heart mind you, but as a source for human hearing. This is why I hate this song. I hear all sorts of weird tones/pitiches from them that make my muscular system lock up and cringe. I have to turn it off real quick or I hurt.
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 02:16:26
see i don't agree with the idea of music as a science. I understand that the THEORY of music is almost mathematical, however music itself, in its purer form is more of an art. It is a creative outlet for people, and yet is looked down on by many people as solely "entertainment." And we "brits" should never try to do blues, jazz maybe, blues no.
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 02:12:29
umm, yeah? maybe? Forget all of that. Music is math, and even more important, science. Sure it takes heart, that is most important, but actually it is not. Music is science and math. Heart in music can not survive if the science of thine is not utalized first. all you Brits stole blues, but only some of you knew about the tone of music. some of you got tone by accident because analog existed back then before the transistor. I am sorry. I ramble.
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 01:59:16
aye it did, however blues now has gone shite in total honesty. Its nothing like it would have been, and is based more around the instruments than the voice.
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 01:57:42
Actually, blues came from like the 1700's. It started with slaves picking cotton hollering their pain to each other. No instruments at all. Enter the diddly bow and eventually some guitars. But yes, i know Johnson was born in 1911. :)
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 01:52:36
LOL, I lived in England/Wattford for a while. It was years ago, but correct. I keep noticing that you brits and my old band buddies are still strong musicall,y as always. I check with my old friends now and then. I see some of them teaching on utube. Cool shit. At heart, or melody for that matter, this guy and this chick, while singing from heart, just flop around in pitch. They are like a boat on the ocean, not more like a staircase, which is what a melody should be.
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 01:51:37
oh and blues originated closer to 1910, and wasn't folk music so much as music of the heart.
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 01:45:45
actually, what i said was that music doesnt have to follow a set structure, which it doesn't. And as to there being 5 people in the world?? Whatever floats your boat. But i can think of more than that in Liverpool. Enjoy
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 01:43:45
turf, First thing you did was insult me about my knowledge of music. Nobody will ever win there when I am concerned, if an argument prevails. There are maybe 5 in this world that know what I know about music. If you want to learn just ask, if you wnat to argue, that is futile. Good luck
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 01:38:20
ill agree with you one thing; a lot of music today is total crap. For example, r'n'b. Also, music that is designed rather than made, such as x factor artists etc. However, this sort of music is not one of them. I can't agree with you on that.
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 01:36:02
Tyffy. You are just young enough that you have never heard music. That is sad and that is why I rant. Music died in 1994. So you were about 3 years old when that happened, maybe 5 or 6. You may have had a glimpse, but did not soak in. This is why I rant. I want people like me, to hear what is good, to love music and melody. Not spam self seeking wanna bes, look at me praise me crap, kids without music. We all need the real thing. I know I do.
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 01:35:59
oh, and i havent seen the movie. Making yourself look silly now. Also using english such as dumb ass twice in one sentence, and it don't.... should be doesn't.
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 01:29:19
should really check who you are calling things like that. Musics been my entire life, ive played piano for 15 years, im studying music as a University Degree, and music technology as an extra course. Im not arsed what you teach, or who youve met, or what you do. If you dont like the song, dont bother coming on to it and bitchin about it, cause people do not care. They like the song, and listen to it. End of.
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 01:29:16
Turfy, one other thing, I know, dumb ass that I don't have to listen to this song if i don't like it, dumb ass, sheesh, but I am a music advocate. It don't have to be wonderful Bach Fugees, it don't have to be anything at all but music. I love all music. Give me Glam rock from the 80's, thats fine with me. It is music. This silly shit here is what you "saw with your eyes" when you watched the movie, and got a hard on for, and related visual to the sound you heard. It is not music. It is shameful
By: YouSpamTard. on 03 Oct 08, 01:17:22
music retard, you backed yourself into a corner here, I grew up with music as an infant,47 years ago, besides that, I teach music. I have for 30 years now. Now? what did you say? Give me a go buddy, I am ready and stern.

thats a scale. Melody doesn't have to follow any set structure, otherwise every song would sound exactly the same. Guessing you're one of these people who only listens to things that have the exact same form and sound. If you are im sorry for you.
By: Tufty89. on 03 Oct 08, 01:09:38
hey, if you dont like the song, dont listen to it. We don't care.
