Thank u for posting. These songs make a lot more sense to me now. I remember when this came out. I saw her in March 2002 near me with Rebecca St. James and bunch of other people! I was so young, but not that I am older and building my relationship with the Holy Spirit and really love this song. I never have to worry about anything with God.

In around 1960, there was a child piano playing prodigy named Ginny Tiu, a cute little Philippine girl who made her national TV debut at the age of 5 on Ed Sullivan's show! She was on a number of other shows at that time, and was even in an Elvis movie. She was 12 when she appeared on this edition of "I've Got A Secret" in 1966.

I have known Ginny since 1983 and watched her play weekly for years in Waikiki until about 1997. My recollection is that she will did not read music, but her repertoire was impressive. For several years, she played "Dueling Pianos" with Noly Pa`a, which was a world-class show nightly at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Pa`a is another extremely talented musician -- pianist and singer.

Yes, I figured that this may be the case, because I saw other prodigies playing this way for the TV. But also I noticed that most of these TV prodigies later fade musically and never make first class musicians. Making compromises to please the general public is not a good idea IMHO.

A very unusual Ginny video. Most of her tv & film appearances, she was 4-5. She was in an episode of Danny Thomas. Last time I saw her was a Kellogg's Cornflakes ad - she was about 8. The Tiu girls and brother Alex were in an ELVIS film. Sister Vicki was in a second one, and later married the Gov of Hawaii. Ginny arranged everything for the wedding. Ginny still plays piano in Honolulu hotel nightclubs. Search "Ginny Tiu" "Moana Surfrider", look for an article about her in the StarBulletin.

I met Jenny at this age (yes Iam 60) in her home I dated her older sister while in high school (Stiemetz)there in Chicago. Saw her again in Hawaii and too my supprise she remembered my name.She has 2 older brothers Danny and Joe. Never thought I'd see her in a video. Ginny and her whole family were very musical, and also just plain nice people. We went to the same church in Oak Park IL in the 1970s and they invited many of us to their house, where they had some photos on display from the Elvis flick and other TV appearances. I think she plays at a hotel in Hawaii now.
