they're both the same age and they've both started playing for senior clubs in 1997. TBH i havent watched any serieA games since september but from what i've seen and read so far, both ronaldinho and gerrard are reaching the peaks of their prime. i dont see either getting better

but thats ok i'll play your game. lets look at the UEFACL since 2000. both PL and serieA have been finalists 5 times. but the only times serieA and PL have met together in the finals were 2005 and 2007. 2007 ac milan won 2-1. liverpool won 2005 on penalties after a great historical comeback. doesnt look like a confident win to me. only slim. its a great comeback, but a comeback is not the same as what you say "domination"

gerrard is a better overall player because he can captain, assist, tackle. but so are a lot of midfielders, like ballack, pirlo, fabregas. but ronaldinho is a LOT better then gerrard at attacking and 1 one 1 scenarios. not that many ppl can do what he can do, which makes him a more expensive player. some of these gerrard fanboys here (no offense) are insinuating that gerrard would make a better striker and forward than ronaldinho. it's a very naive statement to make

i dont see how the premiership is tougher than serieA. the PL is just more aired and more popular and they have more money. that doesnt make them tougher nesta pirlo kaka zanetti figo zlatan cesar vierra delpiero etc. there are more cup (intl and club) finalists playing in serieA than PL. PL players are just more popular and have more ads. serieA have won the CL 11x and runner up 14x. PL clubs won 11 as well but only runner ups 5x. close call but serieA has been in the UEFA CL finals more often

I think Gerrard is the best midfielder in Europe or the world for that matter. He has the best passes, the best shots, he is the topscorer in CL right now, alongside Messi, and is also the higest rated player in CL, 7 points ahead of Messi. Only midfielders that are close to Gerrard is: Lampard and Xavi Hernandez, maybe Fabregas too when he is in form and have better teammates around him. But none of these players I just mentioned is as loyal as Gerrard is to his club. PS: I`m NOT a LFC-fan
