It certainly is an anti-war thing, but I think it goes much further than that. It's about picking your battles. It's about, as the chorus says, not fighting for stuff not worth fighting for. You can take it much further than that if you want. It's a great song with a solid message.

how does this song totally contradict protecting freedom? the whole point of the song to oppose UNNECESSARY wars, not all wars. "this fight is not worth fighting." the message is that wars not worth fighting should not be fought. I hardly think the band would say freedom should not be protected when necessary. that being said, I agree that it should not be the NH state song because... well it makes no sense for it to be.

A masterpiece! The best version of this brilliant film is the Photoplay one, with the wonderful music by Carl Davis. Mr Davis also did a fabulous score for 'Our Hospitality'. I wish he could have done the same for all of Buster's films - Buster was the best, so he deserves the best!

That's an interesting question. I think there's a particle, called a graviton. It would collide with other particles, attracting them towards the source. What about a speed that is a little more coherent, say 30,000 mph? You would say that an object moving at that speed would measure time more slowly than an object at rest. Physicists argue we can prove this in experiments. If this was true the object would be in the future, and not viewable from the "rest" reference point. Biggest blunder in the history of physics, thats all you need to know.

Not using the light speed method. However, if you are able to travel at the speed of light, then time will stand still for you and you wouldn't be able to slow down again. If you were able to survive entry into the correct wormhole, then theoretically at least, you would be able to go back in time. The effect of gravity on clocks isn't because of a "warp" in space/time, it is a malfunction of the clocks to correctly measure time. The same is true for special relativity. Place an atomic clock on a space craft traveling 30,000 mph. Send the craft on a journey through space, when it returns time will be measured differently than a synchronized clock at rest. Einstein and mainstream physicists are missing the point. Time/space warp isn't the cause of gravity, its an effect. If you take an hourglass that measures exactly an hour on earth, and synchronize an atomic clock with the hourglass, they will measure one hour approximately the same on earth. If you move the clocks to another gravitational body, say the moon, the clocks will be completely different. The reason for this is simply that time is a conceptualization based on clock ticks.

It's like this. You are in a room, with two clocks both starting at 12:00. If nothing happens, they both run at the same time, and thus would reach 1:00 at the same time. However, If you took one of the two clocks, and run near the speed of light until you see your clock read 1:00, and then you stop running, the other clock would display a much later time, such as 5:00. Yes, you are right it will still take "100 billion years" (Idk if that number is right, but that's irrelevant), but you are talking in the viewpoint of an observer outside of the body that is moving at that speed. Whereas I'm talking from the viewpoint of the thing that is moving at that speed. So really, neither of us are wrong, we are just talking from different viewpoints - no need to get angry. Of course things with mass can never reach this speed, and thus time can never stop for us.
