A Fulltone TTE sounds amazing like a vintage Echoplex. The main difference is that Fulltone TTE parts are made to last longer and are readily available. Vintage Echoplex parts can be very expensive, if not impossible to find.

The ASAT can be a little harsh. Those pick ups are definitely not tele. It is really fun to play though. It has a thick neck, huge frets and I have 12's on it. I practice with it because it makes everything else easier to play.

Totally digging the Strat tones....surprisingly, I didn't like the ASAT sound even though I find I'm more into Tele's lately??? The MAZ sounds great...I've never had a chance to play through one but I'm a Fender snob anyways! :)

Mannishboy-- great tones, happening! No doubt the recording doesn't do your rig justice. I have a Z amp, and they simply can't be touched imho. My next Z will be a RT66, then maybe I'll add another one, but between My Stang Ray and a '66, I'll have all I want. The haters on here wouldn't know good tone if bit them in the butt. It's really hard to capture the magic of a Z amp in a youtube vid-- they're just too big for the 'tube.--DG

I run a GOld KLON through my 1981 Marshall JCM800 2203. Fully clean boost and it is SICK gain but very transparent. Volume at 100% Gain at 9am and tone straight up! YIKES. I also run 1973 LP Custom through the whole deal with WCR coil Darkbursts! NOW thats tone, Nice stuff bro.

I think the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo is a very nice tape echo unit, but if you want the REAL Setzer's sound, you should use a Roland RE-301 or RE-201. Because those feedback sound intervals and tones differ from each other. Brian Setzer had used a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo just one time tentatively in 2004's Stray Cats Europe tour, but he returned to RE-301 immediately.

Interesting sound, but not very Setzer like His RE-301s do alot more for the sound than most realize, to top that all off hes running those Bassmans hot with something like 60 foot leads. His echo time is alot shorter and more subtle aswell.

Humbucker's cancel out hum and hiss, and sound very warm. Single coil's like on this strat, sound grindy, more trebly, and very gritty bluesy sounding. Then again, single coil pickups his a lot unless you have a good noise gate.

Another excellent review/demo of yours. All three pedals sound great. They maintain the character of your guitar very nicely. I have both a SF and Zen; i have to admit that i have found the SF fits in beautifully with any guitar/amp setup i've hooked it with....more so than even the Zen. Unfortunately, i don't have a DP-1 .... though i'm keeping my eyes open for a deal! Much thanks & best Rgds, Andrew B.

Mainly a demonstration of the Fulltone OCD overdrive. The keeley isn't on until the end, where I use it as a boost.. The settings are as shown in the beginning. And this is as usual played on my Fender Prosonic Amp.

I use the OCD with gain at 10 o' clock. That way I can get that semi-clean-boost-crunch thing, when I pick lightly. When I pick hard it gets dirtier, and then I use the comp kinda as a gain-boost. Gives more sustain and drive. With the comp though, u cant make the same clean-contra-drive dynamics, so I only use the comp with the ocd when im soloing some hendrix or SRV ;)

hey I'm wondering I know the ocd is known for it's dynamics like if you pick lightly it cleans up and when you pick hard it gets dirtier but how is it with the keeley comp? does it do the same thing with the same volume or do you lose the dyanamic feeling.
