Actually, you are a little off. Brett did not like Shawn, to be sure, but that was not the reason he did not want to drop the belt. He just did not want to drop it in his home turf, which was a reasonable request, not mention Vince and Bret had an agreement not to drop it there and he would hand it over next day. Shawn is an ass, but it was Vince's idea. Shawn could have had some stones and stood up to Vince, he was way too popular then to get buried, (See MSG incident), but he didn't.
