rigged, but u seem to get something in this in most sports of all leagues and ages. when i played junior basketball we was in the final against the home team, both refs were from there. our 5 starters, (including me) and a bench player were fouled out, the opposing team somehow got 98 points and we got 23. we were undefeated all season and won all our games against this team by over 45 points. not to compare it to this bullshit though

Donaghy is in the wrong for what he did, we all know that. However, we'd all b very naive to believe that he's the only ref that makes bullshit calls for his own interest! Even if they aren't told directly from Stern what teams to push and which ones to hold back, they know that a Finals with Boston and L.A. (not implyin last yr was fixed, genuinely) is gonna draw more for ratings then the Kings and Nets, lol. If the right teams aren't in refs will change in the future, no doubt!

I've been riding Critical Mass rides since the first ones (early 90's) on the West Coast (CA/WA/OR), I've never seen so many fashion conscious posers (or poseurs) on groups rides until the last few years. While you're mashing/hammering, geared bikes are smoking 99% of fixies. Then there's the downhill factor where brakes are a must. Why limit yourself to 1 gear? If you want to be FORCED to mash, just don't shift gears. It's that simple.

It makes sense: I get stronger, I get ultimate control, it's easy to repair and maintain, no power is lost in gears, I become one with the bike, the street and the speed. All these people who have never had anything to do with cycling before think fixed is some new kind of cycling form and claim it is a lifestyle. ppl who would never have otherwise set foot on a pedal are now flocking to fixed gear bikes. the number of times i have seen hipsters wanting one without even knowing what fixed means or claiming they bought a track bike and converted it to a "fixie" (WTF?). It should be transport before accessory.

I assure you all the fixie freestyler's in this video are from NY/SanFran/Chi or converted BMX flatland riders. I've attended events with alot the fixie riders in MPLS and have never seen anything quite like this. I know exactly where that long skid takes place, it's pretty burley. Fun hill to skip for sure, but once you master getting all your bodyweight over the front wheel skids are simple. Accuse him of riding freewheel more, you just look dumb.
