this stupid fat camps really dont work.. im pretty sure of that. if you know anything about weight loss and how to diet propely you know that it doesnt matter how much you eat, it matters when and what to eat. plus a little excersise regularly. AND you have to do this on your own. the bigges flaw is that parent send kids there and basically make them to follow the rules there, but when they get back home they still go on about the same thing. its easy to see by the way they act there...

All of this great singers have their own ways to perform, it's just a tastes factor.First time I heard E. Fitzgerald I was driving a car and immediatly I felt something strong a weird great sensation the perception of vocals perfection. the song was night and day, 15 years are gone but I still remember that moment! I think it means somenthing for me. After that all the other version of Ella's songs became a failure for me I know it's my point of view and I apologies with other singers fans ciao!

It's cool that you expressed how you felt. It really sparks constructive debate. I love Dianne so I am biased the other way. Ella's version was memorable, but Jazz is about renditions. There is no definitive version. If that was the case the art form would stop there. You could also make a case that this is the reason the art form is where it is now. Just a thought.

I agree with you, the problem is this: when you consider one version the "definitive"or "ultimate" songs performance version it's hard to appreciate others artists version even when they're good singers as Dianne Reeves or DeeDee Bridgwater...but I know this is my problem...

That "baby weights" thing made me chuckle. People who don't do crossfit routinely make fun of the weights, rep schemes, everything...until they try it. Until you've tried it you don't know what an unbelievable effort this is. That said, yes the ROM is a little off, and one of the pricipals of crossfit is that every lift or move should be held to the same standard, but I think we can give him his time :)

I really should see BoB (and Tom & Viv). Tilly and Wiest both look phenomanel. I'm also sure that Wiest did deserve her Oscar, but I'm on the "Uma should have won" camp. Not because I'm a total Pulp Fiction junkie, but because there were such small tics and nuances Uma brought to Mia that made her an incredibly fascinating (and ultimately tragic and pathetic) character. Mirren was great, too, but weak when compared to Hawthorne.

Marvelous phrasing, timing, feel. To me, Dianne at her best. It is a real experience to attent her concerts ! Very vibrant, wired. She is really a singer, musician where techniques and feel are integrated like a french dessert.... Modern and timeless pieces of art. A real lady diva without an attitude (met her after her concert)
