Are you American by any chance? Usually the people from the US assasin people by e-mail since they can not stand a different opinion. Still the performance is brilliant elevator music. Layla once in it´s electric version was/is one of the best songs ever. The acoustic version is pretty good for elderly people from 60 upwards. Clapton is no god. "Cocaine", "After Midnight", "Lay Down Sally"; Clapton's three best songs are all written by Cale, not to mention "Call Me the Breeze". The album should have been Eric Clapton performing songs written by Cale, having Cale play was pointless

I appreciate that he did the job he did on this but that martin just sounds to deep for what hes playing and it muddys it up. I got the same problem - I just bought a martin and the thing sounds great when your bangin out chords (Think elvis) but this stuff is just too intricate to play with a martin in my opinion. I think even he knows it at the end he says "lets change guitars"
