The first time I heard this song, I was with a group of friends and I cried. They couldnt understand it...but I did. BC I believe, I believe that there is a beautiful spot in Heaven waiting on me when this life is over! And that puts a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. Sounds like a good ritual. It will definately keep you humble. I loved this song and got attached to it from the moment I heard it. It makes me feel so relieved and gives a glimpse of hope. It is so refreshing to see others singing about something so beautiful....life after death. I wish everyone could listen to this song and really feel it. And just believe! Im only 17 but through reruns, dvd collections, and clips like these on youtube Ive been able to see what true comedy is like. this is comedy at its best. guys like these (dean, berle, hope, gobel, etc.) were actually funny, they didn't rely on sexual references, cuss words, and other offensive material-they didn't have to. those things are excuses for when a comedian doesnt have a real joke. i wish we had more true comedy like this clip. thanks for posting.

I only wish it had run for some more time during 94 and people had seen more of it. It would have dumped Gump in the Forrest and beat fiction to Pulp :-) The best movie to have not won an Oscar. This scene reminds me to look at senior citizens in a more accommodating way. This is the best movie, ever! Great scene, great acting, great direction. This scene wasnt even half as dramatic in the novel as it is in here. "Brooks was here" just seals it. Whitmore is amazing with the look in his eyes as he clutches the railing in the bus. Darabont, Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, James Whitmore will be remembered for this movie. It has the theme of hope. It has the theme of guy friendship (guy friendship minus the guns, booze and babe-chasing which is very rare in movies).

There' so many deep; insightful; poignant and darn right bitterly unjust themes in this film, (which run true for life for many people). Brooks unfortunately had lost all hope and when he lets Jake, (his pet bird) fly free I believe thats a metaphor for him letting his hope, or perhaps his last little dream float away.. Of course fortunately for Red, Andy was able to give him and other fellow inmates a reason to live and EVENTUALLY get through it.

That's his old acoustic and it was run direct into the board (1/4" inputs...not even using a direct box). He now has a nice Takamine and a Behringer Acoustic amp...it sounds worlds different. (much better)

Hehehe...not bad for our first gig playing together in 7 years with a couple of practice sessions. Yep the guitar is too loud (that's me...oops) and the drums are too low. Probably has something to do with not mic'ing the drums (except the kick). Plus that PA was hammered and needed a LOT of love. Things are MUCH better now!
