Veyron is pure shit. You don't know history. If you know history you will speak like me. Car with 1001 hp goes only 400 km/h. Car was made 10 years, and this is result. Mercedes made car in 1939 which was going 440 km/h with 3.6 V12 dohc engine. About 450 hp, max power on about 8000 rpm, red line at 11500 rpm, direct injection... All solutions from this engine are today in use in all civil, and most of racing engines. So, this is reason why people say: Mercedes Silver arows!

actually a centrifigul supercharger will change the exhaust sound...Think of what the charger does , it adds cylinder pressure under boost. in essence increasing compression ratio which WILL change the way a car sounds!

hmm, btw dude, my dad has 2 supercharged cars and one of them (vw golf III) has custom exhaust and the other one (bmw 7 series) has stock exhaust and i can't really hear the difference between those two, so plz don't call me and idiot when i know what i'm talking about...custom exhaust just makes your supercharged engine sound louder but not alot different.

It would be nice if he could do the things he does, which are absolutely amazing, and beautiful, for free... but he cant. He needs money, and funding, just like anyone else does. He could have chosen worse sources of funding so.... and who knows, maybe BMW might in this light set themselves a better target to aim for not in his engineering, but through what his engineering stands for. Means more than watching someone park a BMW in a busy street to me anyway.

I know the difference between Ft-lbs and Nm. And I know that none of the BMW gearboxes could handle a 3000+Nm torque. Audi Q7 has biiig gearbox and it has problems with 1000Nm of torque... now look how big are gearboxes in trucks which do have something between 2300 and 3000 Nm. Those truck boxes and clutches are so heavy they need to be pneumatically operated and they weight about 700kg. This 3000+ Nm torque in that beemer is just bullshit. It ain't top fuel dragster for fuck's sake!

This car is pointless for several reasons. 1. The BMW M5. It has the same engine, near enough the same performance, looks better, more practical, and almost £20k cheaper! 2. You could have an Aston Martin V8 Vantage for the same price, and the Aston looks, sounds, and drives much better. Plus, its an Aston! 3. I know what you mean. Now the Germans have lost their tradition as the luxury car makers, and have become shittyass automakers. Merc reliability never goes up, BMW keeps making more cheaper cars, and Audi.......can't even make FR cars. Lexus and Infiniti already have destroyed them, easily.

Ugly exterior. They tried to copy the beautiful Lexus ls460 but just made it a whole lot uglier. Look at that lip spoiler on the boot. From the ls. The outer rear lights. Exact copy of the LS460. JUST SAYS HOW GOOD LEXUS HAS BECOME, that BMW are copying them. HAHAHAHAHA. Ill laugh at all you badge snobbed BMW owners, because you have no taste. i hope that was not a racist comment. Check it up Lexus is a japanese car and is competing with the likes of mercedes s class or 7 series bmw. Although Ive driven 2006 s320, and 7 series bmw in diesel version , but the lexus was not far out in experience. Ls430 is pretty damn amazing.

I'm not really a Mercedes fan, but I will admit that the S Class is pretty nice. Nevertheless, I would still drive a 7 Series. The S Class just seems boring to me... there's no real intensity, or dynamic design. Actually, that's the main reason why I prefer BMW over Mercedes.

I agree.But art and design are different.This has a purpose.Design always goes way beyond feaseability, it's meant to incite progress, test new ideas and give a glimpse of the future.However this doesn't mean that this technology wont be used in the future(perhaps even near future).I was just saying that,like most concepts, we wont be seeing anything like this on the streets anytime soon, specially something this bold. It's true that art still played a major role in this concept

This is purely the result of the kind of exercises design houses do to stimulate creativity and draw attention to the company.
