It's really so easy to learn a foreign language when you're a kid. Since my birth I have learned Hungarian and Romanian simultaneously, then my parents took me to a German kindergarten and so I also learned German like it was my native language, all the way through high-school and college. In the second grade I started learning English in school as a foreign language, but finally become to be fluent in English also. It is really amazing - I could travel half the world getting by easily. :)

oh and it's not really the case of when you'r getting older that it's more and more difficuld to learn other languages, i'm 25 i know 4 languages and even now i can easlly learn a new language like japanese that have no similarity to the languages that i know so far. So i thing that if the child learns 2 or 3 languages now it won't change a thing in the future for learning more languages.

Thats not really true in my opinion. I think my English is good enough, and I only had 3 lessons a week, for five years... but maybe its because I love English. I love learning languages, I'll probably die old, still trying to master my 23'rd. ^^ Back in the old days, people would kill for a tool like the internet. This is great! I think people really underestimate how valuable being bilingual. I'm black and as a kid, a lot of my friends were Mexican, so I have a pretty good understanding of Spanish. I've also studied French for about 8 years, and I'm STILL learning--starting language as a child would have made the learning process SOOO much easier. I'm still on a mission to become conversational in both Spanish and French. My kids will defitely learn one of the two languages, from me and classes.

Unfortunately, there are many that don't understand how one acquires a second language. They need to be told that in order to learn English proficiently on an academic level, one must have a strong foundation in their primary language. If they only want students to SPEAK English, then you don't need them to have a strong foundation in their primary language. But, the latter is not what the students are expected to learn in school, especially in middle or high school.

Right, because we are an officially bilingual country. The language laws and language police are in Québec to protect the French Language and Culture that has been there since the mid 1500's. The nitty gritty language laws are in Québec, one province. Give me a valid argument why there shouldn't be French Roadsigns that accompany the English Roadsides. I have nothing against you learning Spanish or any other language. I don't want to be forced to pay for you to keep your heritage or learn another language. As a Hispanic immigrant who speaks English and Spanish fluently I will tell you that the Spanish media is actually doing a horrible job at keeping young hispanics or those born in the USA tuned to their programming, as most if it is directed at working class immigrants with low English-skills. For me, I speak several different languages and I see it as large Spanish economic interests (the Spanish media) trying very hard to keep Spanish speakers speaking Spanish so they will increase their audience and make more money. Lo que pasa es que fuiste muy enfática en decir que mala traducción y bueno es practicamnte imposible que alguien traduzca algo así en una canción cristiana cuando las letras deben ser editadas muchas veces antes de ser grabadas. crystal es amiga de muchos cantantes latinos de modo que no se permitiría un error así. Además este tema es archiconocido en Chile y la cantan como himno especial casi todos los coros, por eso me sorprendio tu confusión. Perdón si soné pesado, cuidate.

yo solo hice un comentario, yo lo que escuche "te suicidaste" quiza es la mala pronunciacion de cristal pero eso no quita que la cancion es preciosa, que ella tiene una uncion muy especial, mi comentario no asusto a nadie simplemente aveces las malas pronunciasiones son fatales, pero repito eso no quita lo bello de la cancion.

Las personas que quieren escuchar tal cosa, pues lo van a hacer. Crystal Lewis no pronuncia bien el español, no asustes a la gente. Quisas la palara no la dijo bien y puede sonar (si uno lo quiere) de manera extraña dandosele otro signnificado. Además estoy aprendiendo ingles y la letra T en ingles tiene varias pronunciaciones, a veces como la R o D española. Por lo tanto, la R (Resusitaste) le puede sonar como T. Dios les Bendiga
