El Salvador was depressing. Then again, all civil wars are. The Cold war get's blown out of proportion many times. Technically it wasn't even a war. Well, physically anyway ;) Khrushchev was a fool, he had poor diplomatic skills and was generally very bold and rude when it came to matters at hand. É o seguinte. Ritmos como samba, choro, maxixe, eram considerados de baixo escalão pela elite da época, na qual Nazareth circulava. Então êle usou a expressão Tango (ou tango brasileiro) para disfarçar. Aí ficou tudo bem porque aquela elite se ligava em palavras e aparências (mas bem que gostava de balançar o rabo....só que "com class").

This is 8mm film taken during Hurricane Betsy in September of 1965. The area depicted is Chalmette Vista just outside New Orleans; this same area was virtually annihilated during Hurricane Katrina of 2005. Note that the highest water level is indicated clearly on the bricks of the red brick house.

I was just a child when Betsy came through. We were living in Jackson,La. My mother had surgery and was released two days before. I can remember standing at the front door and watching the rain fall sideways. The tree pine trees were bending and touching the ground. There were many tornadoes roof damage. My dad and I went out the next day. There was a small creek we swam in there was a good 14 ft from the creek to the bridge. The water as lapping over the bridge.

They will never be able to protect St.Bernard and the lower 9th ward from flooding. It's a fact. If i'm not mistaken the mrgo was began building in 64 or 66. People saw what happened so many times there and knew it would always be a risk. Katrina's flooding was the worst in history. Many-many people are smart and not going back there. Murphy Oil should buy more land and expand.
