I wouldn't put down the chances of having another season to 0 because of that; the franchise is still damn popular. Not less than a few weeks ago, the last Berserk Volume was the 2nd best seller manga in Japan. Beside, late night anime aren't as unwatched as you think, at least in Japan. I wouldn't mind if they cut a bit of gore too. I'm not watching a show because of the amount of blood there is. Anyway, at this rate, nobody can tell if we're going to have or not, another season.

the show is too violent for prime time TV. it didn't make a lot of money in japan because the amount of violence caused it to be aired late at night and not many people watched it. i read the manga and season 2 is gonna be even worse than season 1 with the violence. a lot of the disturbing scenes didn't make it into the anime in season 1. plus they didnt even show the skull knight. which is crucial for season 2. the show did good with dvd sales and the writer is still making more mangas.

This probably one of the few animes where the protagonist is a tough bastard, tall, very muscular powerful fighter (who is human) unlike some main characters who are small and weak and when danger comes to them they sh*t themsleves which they either run away or someone saves them (only time when Guts was scared was when zodd transforms into demon-form), this is understandable because he has never seen a monster before but quickly resorts to fighting zodd.

It costs $15 and I'd be willing to pay $50/volume. Berserk is THE best anime I have ever seen and will ever see, but the manga makes the anime look mediocre. This. Is. Epic. But really, the weapon changes made me skip over most of the first half (ForcesII rocks too hard to skip). The dragonslayer is the end-all be-all weapon, and is definately better to look at in a video. Also, I have unlocked all of the weapons in the game except Puck's Needle, so I know what I'm talking about before someone starts bitching about it being a choice that you make while playing.
