Saw Marcia do this song at the R&R Festival just days after the storm. Hugh crowd, outdoors, late afternoon, and yet a stunned silence...except for the occassional sob. sorry to disagree with most previous comments, but it's bland. Nice enough for a 'pub' singer (indeed I'd be glad to hear her in this kind of environment), but so far removed from the original it's a tad excruciating. Definitely! The show totally evolved by season three in a variety of dimensions. And Silverman's talent paid off and were excellent for the movie last summer. Looking at those painted backgrounds and such from previous seasons makes me nostalgic for them prior to when the show became digital. Still a great show, but the show has evolved tremendously.

It's actually quite astonishing how quickly that crudeness changed, though. by season three, the writing AND the animation were firing on all cylinders, and the composition and construction and whatnot was just getting better and better....and Silverman was just a madman sometimes! This isn't rally related, but I might as well say it here because I've never talked about it: isn't it kind of amazing how much depth and atmosphere they could get into a shot without fully painted backgrounds?

Sorry, but for that accolade you need to be able to deliver a reasonable representation of the song ! I was a big Cult fan back in the day - but hated them live...the man just couldn't be arsed to sing the damn lyrics...and this video shows he hasn't changed! Ian is a good front man visually and very charismatic but sometimes (call me picky!)all you want is for your frontman to actually sing the ruddy song !! Much as I hate to say this - he is definately NOT the best front man ever...

Sorry. The security guys told me several times before to put the camera down. So this was the only effort I made to film a whole song - with the camera as low as possible. So I was quite busy with doing this and trying not to disturb anyone. If you don´t like it you´re free to watch other recordings of complete songs in better quality from this concert. Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people really like this, and that's fine. A jam session should involve some level of communication between players (ie. Phish). If you watch this from about 5:30 on, all 3 are doing their own thing as plain as day; the only thing holding the song together is the drummer. I'd still like to see the whole show, though. You're probably right about little rehearsal - be that as it may, I think it's a decent performance, but kind of falls apart at the end.
