People who train because they feel powerless have an equal choice to go learn karate or boxing. Personally I train in Muay Thai (as a sport) and if you watch video after video, you will see the Thai and foreigners fighting in Thailand show each other the utmost respect and sportsmanship. How about the Cuban TKD olympian who kicked the ref a few months ago? I've also seen some disgusting muay thai gyms abroad. Disrespectful people train in all methods mate.

thats not what I said. I only said martial arts doessnt teach you fighting. you can learn how to kill and how to hurt. These things may be needed for fighting(if multiple opponents, your attacks must be lethal), but martial arts was never intended for fighting. martial arts end things in one punch for self defence, they dont keep laying punches and they definetely dont hurt others for fun.

I really really dont like mixed martial arts. This together with kick boxing are the enemies of martial arts(yeah I know kickboxing is considered a martial art). all the people that want to learn how to fight and want to use it to kick people's asses do this. REAL martial arts DONT teach you fighting. Self defence? yeah. Hurting? sure and killing without a doubt. But fighting? No way.

Qi Gong is derived from Yogic forms and principals, Chinese martial arts are derived from these forms. Its easy to see the relation. No one knows the true origin of martial arts because many cultures have died. The chinese culture was never conquered, so many of the ancient worlds technologies and principals can be found perserved in their culture. Doesn't mean mistakingly as many people do that they started it. They just keep it intact the most for the longest. Kalari is India's Pearl.

Your actually wrong, Japanese martial arts derives from China. Chinese martial arts may have and this has strong evidence to back it up derived from India, either way Chinese Martial arts is heavily influenced by Indian Martial arts and maybe vise versa but the primary is more likely.

It is very interesting... When using a sword or stick, my teachers emphasized precise stabbing as the preferred method to kill. The Samurais of ancient Japan had a sound philosophical preference for using the point to kill more than the edge of a weapon. It was seen as more legitimate by them. Im a martial artist myself. Shotokan Karate + Boxing. Ive done a few trickster moves myself when training (outside the course) and I know how tiring they can be. You wouldnt last 5 seconds in real life against multiple/armed opponents in which you have to destroy in the smallest amount of time possible.

i don't know what you mean by this being so "commercialed" (you mean commercialized?) they aren't promoting anything from this it doesn't even look like a commission, just some guys painting on a wall for the fun of it. And commercial work doesn't mean it isn't original, it's just created for the specific purpose of promoting an idea or product. Besides, by the way i see them working, they just went with the flow of things and tossed ideas down. They treated it like a big sketchpad
