I read his book "The Art of the Deal". He was a genius at converting unprofitable real estate into a cash-machine and working under-budget. But he got greedy and broke and borrowed too much. In "How to Get Rich" he's less dynamic and his recent efforts are weaker. It seems that he now trades mostly on licensing his name. He says he won't take Trump Corporation public because he doesn't want responsibility for other people's money. I think the reason is that the shareholder would oust him.

The conductor/ musid director was Leopold Stokowski, one of the true greats of that era, and, some will say, of all time. Music critics, like rock band fans, incessantly argue who is better or worse. I would distrust anyone who declared this wasn't a great performance. I see 5 mp3 performance; Toscanini does it in 9 minutes, Plasson takes 11 minutes. With a piece this short, there's not likely much room for editing. I'll give Leopold the benefit of the doubt.

Jesus Christ. They're an animation studio, not a Philharmonic. Back in 1940 when Fantasia was made, Disney wasn't the evil corporate juggernaut it is today.They couldn't afford the greatest orchestra to perform the piece, nor did they have to, as the beauty is in the animation and not the score. Learn to appreciate art, rather than be close-minded. It's a beautiful piece, and it's certainly a shame that the complete version is hard to find, but don't knock Fantasia. Please.
