I really don't see the talent in Bukowski himself. His writing, can be situational, as in people can be effected by it differently than Bukowski was. I just don't see the brilliance, outside of his crash-and-burn persona. His writing, his mind, his passion is sad and I feel as if he's very fake about things. It's an act, atleast in my eye. Having read his writing, I pictured him more intellectual and observant, but now I see that he's just a rat, like the rest of them.
