I was in L.A. in the late 70's to very early 80's,saw X many times. As an old Doors fanatic I knew this song well & when they were on a low stage doing it she saw me in the front singing along and she bent down w the mic so we could sing it together with our heads together doing harmony like the Beatles or the Stones. This was a nice version on this video,but that was better then. Ray is a definitely better keyboard player than me but I think my vocals were more in sync with her than his were.

East Coast represent: saw X in New Haven (Toads Place), NYC (Brooklyn Zoo), both in the 80's, and just last year in Northampton MA (Iron Horse). Zoom and Doe were in fine form, but Exene seemd to be playing more of a supporting role, not as out-front as in the old days. Still a great band--but those early days were f-ing incredible.

Just got home from seeing X again. This time at the House of Blues in Anaheim. Another incredible show! Great mosh pit too ... old heads vs. newbies. X is so good, but seeing them live takes it to another level entirely. Truly one of the best live bands ever. DO NOT miss them if you have a chance to catch a show. Trust me, you'll never regret it. I'm already thinking about next year.

I`m glad you enjoyed the show as much as I did. I was worried before the show after not having seen them for so long that it would would be a dissapointment. After seeing Debby Harry perform on tv recently realy makes age a reality. X eXceeded any eXpectations I had. It`s only a couple weeks away from their second midwest swing. Can`t wait! A dave Alvin cameo would be cool. To see Billy and Dave together tearin it up would be awesome!

Saw X on 4/10. It was insane! A mosh pit like I've not seen in 25 years, crowd surfing, and oh yea ... a band who's music is timeless and who still perform with the energy, drive and passion of 20 year olds. By the way ... I'd say only 20% of the crowd was around when X came on the scene. Most were in the 25 to 35 year old range, and about 20% were younger than that. It's great to see the next generations discovering and appreciating a truly gifted band like X.

Saw them in Indy last night. You will be impressed. They sound almost studio as they were and look fantastic. A typical but full playlist. They left out Adult Books and Bad thoughts but kicked ass! Billy was embracing the experience and quite cooperative with the fans. Actually posing for cell phone pics and such. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW! Kudos Billy. A genuine nice guy!

John and Yoko were doing massive amounts of drugs at this time. look up "John Lennon describes his first acid trip". John was a manic depressive and needed a "partner" to lean on at all times, she was it. This never was a very healthy relationship. I think by this time Paul had taken the lead and he wanted the band to stay on task, write good songs and tour again. He was probably the most frustrated of all the Beatles. John hit the nail on the head when he said they picked on each other over petty things. Who could blame them. I'm thankful for the filming of this. It's capturing four geniuses at work at the same time and what happens when too much talent tries to exist within the confines of one band. The Beatles were gear, right? Right!
