The point of the matter, khanoh89, is that even Thom's bum notes don't detract from his overall performance. I just listened to this performance and didn't cringe once. It's all about feeling, and Thom Yorke has it aplenty. Also, if you want perfection, or whatever you describe as perfection, go and listen to the studio version and leave the live fans alone. Idiot. Just because you have this "amazing" opinion that Thom sings badly doesn't mean we need to as well. It's opinion, mate, not fact.

A lot of singers don't hit the right key in live performances. Yorke sings newer songs a lot better, I think it was always going to be a problem with old falsetto tunes like High and Dry.

Thom is out of key in a live setting, period. It doesn't matter whether there's 200,000 or 200 people there. I'd certainly consider myself a better technical singer than Yorke - most people with any savvy about vocal performance are probably better singers. Songwriting, on the other hand, is a different matter. I acknowledge that few people can touch Yorke in that category.

I've just had the best week. I went to see them in Victoria park London then a couple days later, flew out to Amsterdam to see them again. Oh my word what a gig! Going back to work tomorrow. I've been wanting to watch this again since my sister taped over my VHS of it 10 years ago. This was without doubt the best gig within my lifetime, I'm glad I was there to see it live at the tender age of 15 and it stills send a shiver up my spine when I watch it now.

There's an "authenticity of emotion" to Radiohead's songs and performances, that their many impersonators, just can't quite mimmick. Much like many tried and failed at being The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Pixies, and on and on, so too, nobody yet, has quite mastered the dynamic at work with Radiohead.
