rb internals were made for boost, but with any engine 2jz included you have to build internals if you plan on huge hp. but my rb25 could handle my gt25r setup at 21lbs boost, and the only internal work i did was eagle rods.

both engines are very powerful but at the end the of the day the 2jz can handle more power on stock internals as for thte rb you have to upgrade most of the internals most of you guys talk like you own or have driven these 2 types of cars and you probably havent been 100 ft close to one yeah videos can say alot but you never know how much $ or upgrades the owners have put into them and the only reason the skyline is called GODZILLA is because nissan is the more popular in japan of the the 2

Great video and great cars. But this is the reason that japan laughs at us when it comes to racing is one sided IE: Straight line ( Highway or drag racing) Or a circle such as nascar. Both awesome engines, but the 2jz is the stronger motor of the two. Top secret even swapped out the 26 in favour of a 2jz in one of their skyline's, Plus you start with 400cc more and your oil pump is not even thinking about shitting the bed

thanks for responding and not being a dick like most that speak their opinion. i agree completely. yes, the best way to churn out some highly reliable 1/4 mile times is to get a fat and powerful v8. however spending 10k on your car, a new engine and mods; and putting down 300whp is what most tuners want. ask almost every honda/toyota/mitsubishi/ect. guy. they just want a nice 12 second street car. and thats what you can get for 10k. making most 67 darts run well would cost 6k grand

did you know this is only a b18cR? 1.8 liters and the motors from the year 98-99 about 10 years ago. Honda stop making the B series motor and moved on to a more powerful motor. The K series which are all 2.0 liters. The k20aR produces 220hp compared to the b18cR which is only 210hp. It has more displacement, responds better to bolt ons, and with a stock setup and a chipped Kpro ecu, it can produce 220-240whp and will perform like a fully built B series motor in stock form.

all engine swaps are street legal for a honda besides a 2.0 crv motor(b20) and a 2.2 prelude motor(h22) besides they only implement the stupid laws of making it strict for honda swaps because many people do it and then they go race and get themselves killed.. the lt1 produces worse smog and isnt as fuel efficient as a honda motor but because its american they can get away with it.. it also has to do with import vs domestic sales. otherwise the u.s would have giving the civic a motor like japan.

I also admit that was an LT1 Trans am with only full exhaust. An LS1 Trans Am WS6 would have probably slightly pulled the entire way. That Civic had an engine swap (which makes it not street legal) and apparently lots of bolt ons. Really shows you what you need to do to get a small engine to run with a big one. In a straight line there is no replacement for displacement.

why i think the camaro is a better car is: the one piece fischer price interior. it gives the cabin such a nice rattly, drone that really says american quality. attention to detail is amazing. even the smallest parts of the car are made good enough to get it off the lot before they snap and shear from body flex. you gotta love that. the exterior has great amish styling. i love how it just blends in with all the other modern muscle on the road. Fist off, that Silverado is not stock, did you not hear the blower whine? Probably magnacharged. Second, that RSX is going to need a turbo to run with any boosted LS1 and then if your lucky you might keep pace. 3rd, check out Parish's Silverado.. this thing puts down over 1000 hp and had AWD. Last I heard it was in the 9s/quarter and I think it's been sold but not sure. Nothing against Honda's but your gonna' need some serious mods and boost to mess with a boosted LS1, even in a truck.
