Those of you that thought Steve Irwin just annoyed or tortured animals, go watch a video on bull fighting. The bull is teased to make it mad and when it charges they spear it several times and cheer when the poor thing bleeds to death. The croc in the vid is/was likely taken care of very well, as the video showed; the creature was given food for displaying natural maneuvers like excercising the "deadly roll"; he merely tried to educate people, to make them see the lens in which he saw crocodiles; majestic animals that need to be perserved and respected.

Think about it. What you call "tormenting" - a few moments of discomfort for animal each day - is no more than what would happen in the wild, in their unsuccessful attempts to capture prey. Would you rather have the crocodile be struck by a car, be poached, or in some cases, be shot by disgrunteled land owners, who shoot on site for killing their family pets while encroaching on residential areas.
