His answer: In a zoo a tiger has the advantage of strength and their fast moves. However Zoo are not the real world: Lions fight more in the real world and have bigger heads and stronger jaws, they simply know how to fight which is not as common since tigers r lonely animals in nature. Of course the lion ran away...it was 2 against 1. In a one-on-one fight, the lion would win. The male lion is specifically designed to fight. The thick mane prevents damage to the neck and shoulders. The male lions' upper body is insanely muscular for its size, and they have a very high pain tolerance. The tiger being bigger is irrelevant.
